a lot's been happening recently so i made this project to clear up some things. (also consider this a voice showcase lol)
transcript: (i was originally going to link it on google docs but the link triggered the bad word detector for some reason) You may have noticed I’ve been a little… inactive for a while. It may have just looked like I’ve taken a break from Scratch for a while after all the stress of maintaining this account and school and other things… but it’s more than that. You may have not noticed, but my attempts to preserve one of my favorite animation projects has unfortunately caused my account to suffer a ban. Thankfully, only a temporary ban, but a ban nonetheless. I had been banned from Scratch for “repeatedly posting projects that violate the community guidelines”, which included “posting content containing inappropriate text or images” and “content expressing status about a scratch account, including expressing disagreement over scratch account decisions”. Now, before you try to defend my actions, like say “No, you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to apologize for!” but, you’re all probably just teenagers or young adults, you are not professionals who know what’s best like the Scratch staff. If the higher ups are saying my actions have been inappropriate and harmful for the website, I would rather now own up to my actions rather than deny them. Why? I had already faced this dilemma years ago when I was an active bully on Scratch who was posting projects that said harmful, discriminatory things about other Scratch users. (Note: dont try to find them, they are on one of my old accounts and they’re no longer available). At this point, I fear my account is now under more scrutiny, and it’s likely I wont be able to explore the vulgarity I wish to infuse into my Scratch content as often or noticeably, if at all. Now, one may argue “If you cant post the content you want on Scratch, just link it on Forkphorus or Turbowarp!” well that likely wont work anymore. Changes to the Scratch API system mean that plenty of projects that are unshared or banned are unable to be viewed even outside the Scratch website. So, unless I manage to work something out with the Scratch staff to get the project back up in the form I want it in (which is highly unlikely), i don't think my project will be available to the public again, or at least for a LONG time. In the end, I am very, very sorry for my harmful actions on this website, and I hope to recover from these issues so I can continue making the animated Scratch content I adore. (anyways this project’s probably gonna get banned in 48 hours so uhh copy this to be safe)
