"daisy bell" is the first song that was sung using a computer's speech synthesis - in other words, this is hatsune miku's grandfather. show some respect, guys admittedly, pretty much everyone in my series who isn't completely horrible is someone you end up feeling bad for, but winston is definitely one of the ones that goes through the most. (he's named after the protagonist of 1984, so... that checks out) fittingly, daisy is actually the name of his love interest, though i'm still playing with the idea and they're not really together anymore (mostly since daisy doesn't remember him) so there's that
