:) don't copy paste this but general idea of how i would rephrase/edit this Hipparchus lived from about 190 B. C. to about 120 B. C. over 2,200 years ago. He was born in Nicea, Bithynia which is known today as Iznik Turkey and died in Rhodes. He was important for his contribution to astronomy, geography, and invention of astrological instruments despite us knowing very little about him. Hipparchus is considered by some the greatest ancient astronomical observer. Little of Hipparchus's work survived into these modern times even though he wrote about fourteen books. The many discoveries Hipparchus made were quite impressive. He was able to determine the distance from the earth to the moon and developed trigonometry. This allows us to simplify the mathematics of triangles making astronomy calculations easier. In order to that he might accomplish this, Hipparchus had to be very innovative and create the trigonometric table.
