So this challenge has been going around and I decided I wanted to do it :> I got BushClan, the depressed and methodical which I thought was funny, so I decided to deign them. I picture they live in a somewhat steppe climate, but with more trees. I'll design they're territory in the second one, but basically their camp is in a cave system and the territory is mostly brush with a small wooded area. It's been getting much smaller recently due to the war with CirrusClan, another clan I generated who I may design. 1. Nightstar is a younger leader. His dad put him in the deputy's seat, not caring about his wishes or apparent shyness, and then went and died unexpectedly battle. Unfortunately this meant Nightstar had to take over and he was extremely panicked about this. Fortunately he had Yellowstream and Gingerpelt to support him, so though he may be very anxious and quiet, he has a strong support system. He's still working himself out, and is probably why BushClan has earned a reputation as being 'depressed' since he barely speaks and always seems saddened. 2. Most of the cats in this clan are young, a nonsensical war happened with CirrusClan and killed off many of the capable warriors. Due to this, Gingerpelt was appointed deputy rather than an older, more experienced cat. They're rather mischievous, but extremely clever, and are an undeniable asset to the clan in terms of smarts. Gingerpelt is probably the sunshine of the entire clan. Whereas the rest of BushClan is tense and quiet, Gingerpelt is cheerful and energetic. Though they can be irresponsible, the clan is in good paws. 3. Yellowstream is a grumpy older she-cat who also happens to be the medicine cat. She's very upset with Nightstar's father for putting him in a position of leadership when he was clearly not ready for it, and tries to be as supportive as possible while maintaining her gruff front. In recent years she's been rather sadder than normal, as most of the clanmates she grew up with are gone. Despite this, she carries on with her duties as usual and the clan would be much different without her. She has an unlikely friendship with Gingerpelt, who was often sick as a kit and stayed in the medicine den to recover. The two are partners in crime, and sometimes Yellowstream will even play into Gingerpelt's pranks that they like to pull. 4. Dovethroat is a quiet she-cat warrior. She often spends a lot of time by herself, and is rather meek and timid. A lot of her friends and family were killed whenever CirrusClan attacked and she's falling into a depression because of it. When she's not by herself, she hangs out near the elders den with Pochardstream, her grandmother, or near the medicine cat den with Thymeleg, her brother. Though she's part of a clan, she was much closer with her friends and is absolutely devastated that they're all gone. 5. Squirrelnose is a hairless kittypet who showed up at the clan one day. He had lots of smaller cuts over his body and seemed distraught. Nightstar thought it was alright to let him in, and he's been living there ever since. He has somewhat of a struggle living in the clan, as being hairless means he gets cold often and he gets hurt easier without fur. Not only that, he's rather mysterious and a lot of cats don't know much about him. Of course, they don't mind as long as he helps provide for the clan, and that he does. He's actually quite close with Thymeleg, and the two are often seen hanging out and its just generally considered that you can usually find them together.
6. Thymeleg is an aloof, introverted cat. Unlike Dovethroat, he wasn't close with his family at all and does not care that they're gone. Being born blind, his family tried to pressure him into becoming a medicine cat and hold him back from what he wanted to do in life, bullying him and threatening him when he didn't comply. Fortunately, Yellowstream was not into forcing others into molds that didn't fit, and said that he would be able to become a warrior with modifications. Thymeleg usually doesn't fight any battles, but he's very good at hunting and collecting herbs due to his heightened sense of smell, and doesn't mind collecting herbs for Yellowstream. He's very close with Squirrelnose, the two often go and collect herbs and hunt together, and Thymeleg knows enough medical knowledge to patch up the cuts that Squirrelnose might get along the way. 7. Firestorm is in all honesty, a jerk. She's a selfish, rude, bitter cat and most of the clan tends to avoid her. This is also due to her being Gingerpelt's mother, and she was very abusive to them. She pretty much rejected them for being sick a lot as a kit, and yelled at them in front of the entire clan whenever they did something she didn't agree with. The entire clan pretty much banded together to tell her to cut it out, and now she mostly just keeps to herself. Though a bubbly cat, Gingerpelt certainly has not forgot about her actions and avoids her. 8. Asphodelpelt is a sweet, caring she-cat. She treats the entire clan as her children, and everyone comes to her for advice. In her younger years, she hung out with a lot of apprentices from other clans, and due to this had a lot of friends. In recent times, everyone is at war and she is rather sad that everyone can't just get along. It doesn't help that her mate is a cat from another clan. She's not too shy about hiding this fact, the rest of the clan doesn't really care as the clan is shrinking anyway. Her daughters are Applepaw and Crowpaw. 9. Shadowclaw is Nightstar's sister. From birth she was always favored less than Nightstar, and it gave her a sense of inferiority compared to everyone else. She has low self-esteem and doesn't like being around her brother, though Nightstar has no idea why. The favoritism her parents showed him did him no favors either. Shadowclaw spends a lot of her time trying to catch bugs out by herself, though she keeps this hobby secret as she finds it childish. Recently though, she's started to hang out with Dovethroat, both bonding over their shared loneliness. The description was too long for me to add the other cats, but I'll put the link to part 2 here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/720912123/
