Click the Green Flag for a short demo! \\ SEARCHLIGHT // \\ --------------------- // \\ E N G I N E // \\ -------------------- // By SWPlaysMC This is a searchlight engine inspired by the searchlights that roam the 20th Century Fox/Studios logo. I have managed to recreate their movement (they sway back and forth, slowly coming to a stop before swaying in the other direction) and their design. And how did I make them move, you ask? I used Operator blocks! I used a complex formula that I tinkered around with until I got it just right. Inside the project is a custom block that will spawn a searchlight (takes 3 clones) and another program that handles the clones! The custom block lets you customize the color, brightness, and ghost effects for the beam, as well as the starting direction, the range the searchlight will sway, and the time it takes the light to sway from left to right or vice versa. Many of the fields on the block should be obvious, but here are the ones that might not make much sense: direction - If static (time = 0): The direction for the light to point. 90 will make it point straight up. If moving: The midpoint during swaying. spread - Determines how much the searchlight sways from the midpoint. Example: If 50 is entered, then it will sway 50 degrees to the right, and 50 degrees to the left from the specified midpoint. Positives will make the light sway right, and negatives will make it sway left. time - Determines how long it takes the light to sway from one side to the other in seconds. Examples: If set to 1, then it will take 2 seconds to sway back and forth. If set to 0, the light will not move at all, it will become static, and it will point at whatever its direction is set to (see above). Feel free to use this for anything you'd like, even for logo remakes. No credit required!
