OKIE DOKIE HERE WE GO: 1. I did this in broad daylight while camping, not my best work, a little more cartoon-y than I had hoped, but it was my first day, so I gave myself a bit of a break. 2. I had this weird idea that everyday I could do a prompt from a different Inktober (did not last long let me tell you) and I found one from the Dark Fantasy one for Moths and Stars. I think it turned out pretty well, certainly aesthetic enough to look at I guess. 3. For this one I went over to Catober, which had the prompts of Hidden/Bat. I think I had the right idea here, I just didn't execute it very well. I did have an original drawing of this, but I tried coloring it, turning it to hot garbage. (You know how that is) The product ended up being something worthy only of the sidebar in notebooks, but I think it's cute nonetheless. 4. I've got to say that I'm actually pretty proud of this one. Is it simple? Yes. Is it stupid? Yes. Was it over-confidently done? Absolutely. It's mine though, and that's all that matters. Little side-note, this was the last page of my first real sketchbook, so there were emotions here. 5. I find this one odd. There are a couple of key elements behind it that I'll get into, but I'm not sure if I'm really happy at this being my first page of my new sketchbook. Right, backstories. Well, at the time, I was reading the first Hunger Games book, and the main character shoots game through their eyes to protect the integrity of the kill. I don't remember why I found this detail interesting, I just did. The are fire glyphs from TOH on there, (typical, lol) and the skull is because I drew skulls to get me out of my couple-month's long art block. 6. Something I'm pretty proud of once again. Not too much to say about this one, but I do quite like it. 7. For this one, I just drew my family's camping trailer. Why? Because it's cute. 8. Oooh this one. I'm actually pretty disappointed in this one. I could have done so much better. I could have been more creative with the design, I could have picked a whole other idea. Unfortunately, this is what we ended up with in my beginners' art class. Tough luck I suppose. 9. Aw, I kind of like this one too. He just a lil' crab. Freaks me out though. If you have 8 legs, you freak me out, no offense, just a fact of life. 10/11. So I actually ended up combining the last two prompts I actually did. I think it turned out alright, but at this point I was pretty burned out, having a pretty terrible time. Mood swings and all that. Honestly, that's probably why I didn't really continue. I got in a mood. Lol. I guess I'll try again next year :DD BONUS: I'm not going to go through and explain each one of these to you, I won't bore you with the details of that. I did think that my old sketchbook deserved some of the spotlight, especially now that it's completed. (more or less) Originally, I was going to make a whole other project with some of my favorite pages, but I didn't really get around to it. I might still do it if I get the motivation to transfer all the pictures I took with my phone onto my computer, but that's not happening right now.
