“Hello, Snap.” Vine bowed nervously. Snap lowered his crown into the paws of one of his servants. “It’s good to see you again, Vine. Have you figured out the power of the child?” He leaped down from his crystal throne. “Yes, we did, and you may not like it.” Vine avoided eye contact with Snap. “It surely couldn’t be that bad, could it? Don’t keep secrets from me.” Vine sighed. She sat down beside Snap before breaking the news. “Remember the prophecy?” Vine said shakily. She could feel Snap tense up beside her. “What about it?” He forced himself to ask. Vine hesitated. “He can control the sun.” Vine waited for Snap to kick her out, but that didn’t happen. “Do not inform other cats.” Snap ordered. “We don’t want to cause panic.” Vine nodded. “And we cannot let him get hurt.” “I’ve already told Stormcloud.” Vine said in fear. “Good. Now, what have you named the little demon?” “We’ve named him Sunrise.”
