Night Skies, Goodbyes Stars danced across the dark night sky above as a tree danced in the breeze. Not a sound was there to be heard, not a soul seen outside. But in this silence, there was a melody, and that melody carried the hope of thousands, filling the town with unseen beauty. But even in the sweet song of silence, there were people who shed tears, there were people slowly crumbling on the inside. There were people being separated by the cruelties of life. There were people hurting for their loved ones. The breeze played with the hair of one such person; Anna George. Her eyes welled up with tears she didn't bother to fight as she waved goodbye to her older sister. A slight rain blew upon Anna. And then she lost it. She sank down by a flickering streetlight and sobbed. Sobbed tears of anger and sadness. Sobbed tears she had been holding back for so long... Her friends had refused to take what she was going through as it was. Even though they had said they were sorry for her loss when Anna lost her mother, a smile was painted on their faces. And when she'd told them that her little brother was handicapped, they had called her a liar. Anna didn't argue, because those friends were the only ones she had. Now she was alone with her little brother and ill grandfather; her sister had left for work... We should never call someone a liar without knowing for sure, because what they said could be painful truth. The silence of that beautiful night carried the little girl's sadness far and wide, but it mingled with the hope and made an even more beautiful melody. Listen closely to the wind, and you shall hear the song. Listen closely and you can hear the sadness, pain, hope and joy of thousands across our Earth...
