ABOUT: I decided to make a full recreation of Pac-Man, but if it was a game on the Game and Watch. The goal of Pac-Man is to get a high score and beat as many levels as possible while avoiding the ghosts, where the Power Pellets in the corners allow you to attack them. GHOSTS There are 4 ghosts in the game with different behaviours, those being: Blinky - Always follows the player Pinky - Goes in front of Pac-Man to ambush him. Inky - Tries to align himself so Pac-Man is between him and Blinky. Clyde - Acts like Blinky, but chickens out to its scatter location if it gets too close to Pac-Man. Unfortunately, the only way to tell the ghosts apart is from the order they come in. (Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde) or by seeing where each ghost goes in Scatter mode. During certain intervals, the ghosts will go to their corners, Blinky goes to the top right, Pinky moves to the top left, Inky moves to the bottom right and Clyde moves to the bottom left. (0 hides all of the variables) UPDATE HISTORY: Demo A preview was uploaded, it only had Blinky and Pinky as the ghosts, there wasn't a system for scores, lives, level counters, win conditions and no SFX. v1.0 Initial Release, Donuts had a simple system of "Delay" blocks back then. They spawned after 10 seconds (20 for the first spawn) and then 20 seconds to disappear if left uneaten by Pac-Man. v1.1 The Donuts have been reworked: - Donut timers now pause and resume properly when the game is paused. - Donuts will properly overlap defeated ghost sprites. - Upon death or victory, the fruit will now disappear and timers will reset. - The Donut now takes 10 seconds to appear and another 10 seconds to disappear if Pac-Man didn't eat it. The first spawn no longer takes 20 seconds. All ghosts now turn around when changing from Chase to Scatter mode, vice versa or when Pac-Man eats a Power Pellet Added an extra animation where the Ghosts now go into the ghost house to revive after being eaten by Pac-Man instead of reviving instantly after going above the ghost house. Debug: Moved some variables to Page 2, also added Scatter Time and Fruit time variables. Pages are now accessed via numbers instead of using 7 and 8. v1.2 Added Game Over prompt Inky's behaviour now matches his original behaviour instead of it being random. Fixed a bug where Ghosts do not become frightened again when you eat a Power Pellet when one is currently active. v1.3 Scatter/Chase intervals and Power Pellet times now match the original game. Animations are faster v1.4 Added the level 256 glitch. Added the side exits, you can now go from one side of the maze to the other. Ghosts will ignore these on scatter mode. The score is now accurate when defeating ghosts. Added Cheat Codes - /kill instantly defeats Pac-Man - Immortal grants 99 lives. - Incidentof256 brings you to level 256. v1.5 Added Blinky's "Cruise Elroy" mode so he will now chase you in scatter mode at a certain dot threshold. Fruit will only appear twice per level. Scatter timers will pause when the game is paused.
