Welcome to Microwave Rougelike (title still under construction). This game is in pixel art and features at least 4% more purple than the previous game I made, Microwave Gets Microwaved. Controls: F to start Space to do a dash, aimed with mouse Click to attack WASD to move. H to open inventory G to close inventory Walk into items to pick them up Only walk into items in the shop if you have enough money to buy them. Otherwise you will steal them, and the shop keep will set your health to 1 as punishment. Walk into the walls when there are no enemies left to go to the next level (leaving items behind). This always puts you on the right side of the screen. Picking up non-stackable items (such as the throwing spear) will give you 40 money instead. Press L on the title screen to switch to the legacy sprites. Kill enemies and see how far you can make it into the caves.

Changelog: 5/9/2023: (1.3.3) I have returned! Made it so the players dash is always invincible, and removed that upgrade. Replaced it with a heat burst that does an AoE around the player 3 times. Made it so the enemy spawns depend on which side of the room the player walks in from (Eggtroplis suggestion), to prevent them spawning on top of you. Adjusted enemy spawns. Toned down the challenge rooms, reduced number of enemies. Bug fixes. 5/4/2023: (1.3.2): As Eggtropolis suggested, made the mage guys' fireballs spawn near the mage that cast them, not just around the player. Added screen wrapping. Made it so the player is no longer always teleported to the right side on level generate, entering the level will teleport the player to the opposite side they entered from (to give the idea they are travelling along). Fixed the typo on the thumbnail. 9/3/2023: (1.3.1): I'm back! Made the enemies (all but the melee guy) glow slightly while preparing their attacks. Added a flashing indicator for when the flying guys are about to explode. Updated instructions. 25/11/2022: (1.3): Finished the new title and end screen. You can now press l on the title screen to toggle back to the old ones. Updated the enemy movement on the sword guy and exploding guy to be more fulid. Made the exploding guy faster. (Ideas from Eggtropolis). 22/11/2022: (1.2.3): Added background music in the levels. Started work on new title and end screen. Tried to make the fireballs spawn at the mages, but I couldn't figure out how to properly do it. (Ideas from Eggtropolis). 10/10/2022: (1.2.2): Adjustments to project page. I will resume coding work soon. Fixed bugs in the shop where stealing would not make the shopkeeper angry with you, and your money wouldn't properly update after buying/stealing an item. 21/9/2022: (1.2.1): Bug fixes. Warning now properly occurs before challenge rooms. Exploding enemies no longer keep moving towards the player after they explode. Made a new, neater death screen. Adjusted spear position. Made the spear attack sprite and hitbox slightly smaller. 15/9/2022: (1.2): Bug fixes. Made enemies smaller. Allowed the player to dash through enemies. Made wall hitbox more consistent. Now, the further you get, the higher the max number of enemies that can spawn is and the more challenging challenge rooms are, lowered the base number of enemies that can spawn to compensate for this. (idea by BigManStudios). Made the player sprite and spear smaller. Gave an indicator when a challenge room is about to spawn. Some enemies take more knock back (the ones that don't die in one hit). Buffed spear throw (suggestion from Eggtropolis). 14/9/2022: (1.1.2): Added the art for the anti projectile spear because I forgot to add that yesterday. Added death screen and death sound. Added thumbnail music. Added various sound effects. Bug fixes. The sword guys have more health now. 13/9/2022:(1.1.1) Adjustments to project page. Editing the fireballs to give you a little more waning when they are about to spawn. Added the Anti-projectile spear and the Bag of coins. Changed the way the unstackable items give you money to be more consistent. Made challenge rooms properly give you items. Adjusted where the player is when items spawn. Made items despawn if you don't pick them up in item rooms. 12/9/2022: (1.0): Game is now finished and released. I am almost certainly going to have another update to this.
