HELLO! So I found this video on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH36JMQdKzc) which explains the dexnav shiny odds for ORAS. This uses these mathematical formulas to generate the shiny odds. I won't take credit for that. I just wanted a calculator for myself and thought, hey, why not share it? So here you go. Top number is search level. It can be set with Space Bar or by Clicking the Screen. You can also change it with up/down arrows or w/s keys. Bottom number is the actual odds. Click the shiny charm or press Z to turn it off and on. Greyed out indicates off. Also note that with low search levels, you're going to get... obviously incorrect shiny odds. The base odds in ORAS are 1/4096--anything worse is WRONG. At search level 999 WITHOUT the shiny charm, odds are 1/626 At search level 999 WITH the shiny charm, odds are 1/209. If you so choose to chain, click the Amulet coin or the E key. You can increase or decrease your chain with left/right arrows and a/d keys. Turning the amulet coin off will automatically reset your chain to 0. Greyed out Amulet Coin indicates off. For those that don't know how to dexnav hunt, which can ONLY be done in ORAS, here's a short guide: --> Search level increases *every* time you encounter a pokemon, even if you run. This means Horde Encounters are your best friend. --> Chaining grants boosted odds at the 50th and 100th encounter (+5 and +10 rolls respectively). --> Chains will break if: ----> You run from the encounter ----> You save the game ----> You scare off the pokemon / the pokemon flees (before the encounter begins) ----> You encounter a different species of pokemon ----> You leave the map / area --> KO-ing and Catching increases chance of being able to find the pokemon again by dexnav immediately after. Aaaaand that's about it from me. Get dexnav-ing, my friends :)
