♡ welcome ♡ → this is a rant on having idols! ︵︵︵ ▹ context ‧₊˚ ⇨ i was in a convo the other day with one of my "idols" and they weren't angry with me but on the angry-ish side. and i feel like sometimes the first/only time you get to speak to your idols is if they're having a go at you for doing something and that creates lasting impressions ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⌗ problem ‧₊˚ ✦ some scratchers are too involved in having idols, they do EVERYTHING their idol does and are almost /obssessed/ ✦ this can be bad because it stops people from being open to original content and instead just doing everything their idol does ✦ an example of this is when froggy said "lettuce begin (with a lettuce emoji)" just because froggy said that then SO MANY people started doing it just because their idol was doing in. EVEN i am guilty of doing this. ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⌕ solution ‧₊˚ ⟡ some solutions are- to just be happy about you as a scratcher- dw about what your idols are doing ⟡ find some /underrated/ scratchers (i DONT mean "froggy is underrated she deserves WAYYY more follows" I mean ACTUAL underrated scratchers) and make them your "idols", they are more open to talk to and usually have more time to talk ⟡ try to learn to credit for any idea you use... NOW THIS IS NOT A CREDITING RANT but most people ngl don't like crediting others in their projects. so if you learn to credit for any idea you use- you may feel less inclined to copy your idols and more likely to make up your own og content ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ▹ credits ⚠ rant: @rantaway ⚠ inspo: @rantaway ⚠ interview content: nobody ⚠ ᵖˡᵉᵃˢᵉ ᵃˢᵏ ᵗᵒ ᵘˢᵉ ᵐʸ ᶜᵒⁿᵗᵉⁿᵗ ᵃⁿᵈ ᵈᵒⁿ'ᵗ ʰᵉᵃᵛⁱˡʸ ʳᵉᶠᵉʳᵉⁿᶜᵉ· ʳᵉᵐᵉᵐᵇᵉʳ ᵗᵒ ᶜʳᵉᵈⁱᵗ ᵐᵉ ᵃⁿᵈ ᵃˢᵏ ᶠᵒʳ ⁱⁿˢᵖᵒ ⁺ ᶜʳᵉᵈⁱᵗ ᵐᵉ ᵈⁱʳᵉᶜᵗˡʸ· ᵒᵗʰᵉʳʷⁱˢᵉ ʸᵒᵘ'ˡˡ ᵇᵉ ʳᵉᵖᵒʳᵗᵉᵈ, ᵗʸ! ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ © rantaway ♡♡
