EDIT: GUYS IM STUPID LMAO I FORGOT REFERENCES EXISTED MY BAD ? ya'll- i have only ever drawn a POC person. once. AND I DIDN'T EVEN FINISH THE DRAWING(bc my art style changed and I never finish things when i change my art style) I LITERALLY DON'T KNOW WHY- I'VE LITERALLY BEEN DRAWING PPL FOR YEARS WHY HAVE I NOT DRAWN PPL WHO AREN'T EXTREMELY BASIC WHITE PPL WITH THE SAME HAIR STYLE- i always see drawings of POC ppl and its so cool and i wanna do that too. and one time i was like "yeah! i'm gonna do that too!" and then saw a comment mentioning features and stuff and i realized smth- it is incredibly difficult for me to notice someone's specific features unless someone points them out to me. i didn't realize that ppl have features bc my brain is tiny- so, POC artists, i was wondering if you could maybe give me a list of to-dos and what-not-to-dos and maybe some examples or smth ;; i really wanna learn- but i think its better if someone who actually knows how teaches/tells me instead of me trying to teach myself for this one so i don't screw up severely by gathering misinformation. (Like as if i was at school and you are the teacher and i'm the student who doesnt know how to do math I DUNNO-) because i am genuinely terrified of accidentally doing something incredibly offensive.
POC artists please i'm begging you to tell me what and what not to do so i don't offend anybody ☹️ ya'll can point and laugh at my tiny baby brain- im doing it to myself too dw (p.s. i was actually really afraid to make this bc i was worried u guys would be, like, mad at me for not knowing how to do this or something- please dont be mad i really dont wanna upset anyone ;;) (p.p.s. i love that word. "tiny". its such a silly little word i dont know why <33)
