⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀unnecessary accounts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀rant by @lzvely / @crepestry ⠀⠀ do not read if you do not support rants. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀——————— heyhey it's xiv! welcome back to another rant. today, we're focusing on the issue of the aesthetic community making too many useless accounts. (og https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/727971030 & https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/721354895/ ) • what's the current situation? - as stated by wynn & lily, some people move way too much that it's excessive. do you feel annoyed when someone moves to an account, only to find that they've moved again? even more so when their user, perhaps, was a user you wanted. (this has happened to me before and it's seriously... augh) • causes of this. - disliking of their profile (mainly username). trust me, ik. i have done this before, and i seriously regret it. i would create an account on a whim, and make it look nice, only to move 1 or 2 months later, because i didn't like my username as it wasn't "trending" anymore (likely also due to lack of followers, if you chase clout like i used to). • effects of this. - a waste of usernames/accounts. also a waste of time and effort. you put in all that work just to throw it away because it isn't "nice" anymore. honestly. • what we should do. - i think mainly it's to post simple content that you like. post every 2 to 3 days and keep up a routine. (i think this is why rant accounts are popular; they make simple projects + gain attention pretty quick. but still, create rant accounts because you want to, not to chase clout. anyway we got sidetracked.) i tend to remain on accounts when i have the motivation and when my account has a purpose. lmk your opinions in the comments! • creeditoz + other - desc inspo: @estella-diaries - inspos: @sincerely-wynn & - accounts: & ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀——————— ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀thanks for reading ♡♡ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀- xiv, september 5th, 2022
