In the past, Oathclan was formed by a small group of cats who broke away from the bloodbath occurring between Oleanderclan and _clan, but now they are a Clan of solitude built upon their own beliefs and religion. The five dunes closest surrounding Oathclan were long ago named Faith, Hope, Patience, Honour, and Peace; the five values that Oathclan is built off of. Their oath to respect all and build a better future. Traits Due to many generations of remaining in the shadows, Oathclan cats are lean and on the smaller side, with skills in stealth and memory but incompetence with fighting. Beliefs Oathclan beliefs and traditions are very spiritual, and set in stone. First of all, it is believed that to take another’s life is to tarnish your own spirit. Karma is also widely accepted to be true, and if a misfortune befalls the Clan they usually believe that they have done wrong somehow. In Oathclan, the medicine cat is traditionally more connected to religion and less to the practice of healing. And then there’s the five values. The five dunes surrounding Oathclan territory are known as the Five Heroes, and each represents a trait thought to be of sole importance in Oathclan cats. The first, faith, refers to faith in Starclan, faith in yourself, and faith in your Clan. Hope refers to a mindset of optimism and that things will get better. Patience, of course, refers to the patience necessary to allow change or growth to occur. Honour means to bring honour to your Clan and your family. Finally, peace means to always strive for peace and keep up the pacifist ways, not only for yourself but for generations to come. ( wip )
