(btw if the first three words are in caps, then I wrote that section) @Green_axalotl's: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/727543149 Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/726707592 Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/731275241/ Happy reading and hope you enjoy ^^ ᴀssᴀssɪɴ's ᴋɴɪғᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴜᴅʟʏ ᴘʀᴇsᴇɴᴛᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʙʏ @-ᴡʀɪᴛᴇʀsᴘᴇɴ- ᴀɴᴅ @ɢʀᴇᴇɴ_ᴀxᴀʟᴏᴛʟ ᴄᴏᴘʏʀɪɢʜᴛ (ᴄ) ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ɪɴ 2022 I was stuck. you would think after 2 months here I wouldn't let that happen, but there I was, at the very top of a tree with a bird's egg clutched in each hand. I was trying to get myself dinner, but clearly hadn't thought much about how i was going to get down. Like an idiot, I was stuck at the top of a tree without a bag. I knew I couldn't climb down without cracking the eggs that were cradled in my hands. Then, at the base of the tree I spotted my jacket I had thrown off before climbing. I chucked each egg down on to the jacket. The first one cracked and yolk spilled over the sleeves. Miraculously, the second one didn't crack. I hopped down quickly and proceeded to walk back to my camp. Then I heard it: a crack off a twig. Someone was coming… ɪᴍᴍᴇᴅɪᴀᴛᴇʟʏ, ᴍʏ ʜᴀɴᴅ grabbed the dagger that I kept in my pants pocket. It was useful; any moment a soldier could attack me and bring me to the King, with me being a wanted ex-assassin. Another twig snapped. This person really doesn't know how to be stealthy, I thought. I tucked the egg away, in the comfort of my jacket. But then, as I spun around, I came face-to-face with her. In all her glory, in all her red-tipped-hair glory, was her. Eclipse Selentrove. I stepped back. “What are you doing here?” “I was going to ask you the same thing!” Eclipse exclaimed. “Oh, come on, It's obvious I've been here longer than you,” I said, rolling my eyes. “What? No way!” she gasped. I sighed and turned on my heels back to camp. Eclipse followed, swiftly behind. “I heard rumors you were stalking around the royal palace, not hanging round in the middle of the blackthorn forests!” “ɪ ᴄᴀɴ'ᴛ ʙᴇ hanging around the royal palace when I'm a wanted assassin,” I retorted. “At least, a wanted ex-assassin. I take it that you're still part of the murdering squad?” Eclipse's cheeks and ears turned bright red. “They are murders, but they do it for the right thing! With the right motive!” “See, this is why I left,” I said. “It's ‘cause you’re all so narrow-minded.” Eclipse looked like an active volcano now, but she didn't reply. Huh. The Eclipse I knew would've replied angrily, quicker than lightning. I didn't know what else to say so we walked in silence back to the camp. Eclipse stood quietly, looking around the camp. Then I got a proper look at her: face red, sweating and definitely in need of sleep. “What on earth have you been doing?” I asked. ᴏɴᴄᴇ ᴡᴇ ᴀʀʀɪᴠᴇᴅ at camp, I lit a small fire, one that wouldn't attract attention and cooked the egg. Eclipse and I sat in silence for a few minutes. “You know, Bea,” she started. “What?” I looked up wearily. “You could always rejoin. Just…not be involved in the action. You know. Behind the scenes.” “Are you serious? D'you expect me to risk my life yet again for an organisation who has done nothing but harm to me?” “…Would you like a lie or the truth?” I shook my head. Eclipse was still the same. “Who are you after this time?” “The crown prince of the Kingdom of Truzvani.” “The crown prince of…the Kingdom of Truzvani? The crown prince of the Kingdom of Truzvain? Oh, then... Count me in. For this mission.” I saw Eclipse grinning. The Omina Assasin Organisation (OAO) had used me and manipulated me, but part of me wanted to get back to the old days: assassinating, sabotaging and spying on the threats, by Eclipse's side. I may be joining this once, but mark my words, as soon as this mission is over I would be leaving. For good.
