== Epitrix == ========================================== After a while of walking, the group met up with the “missing” blue blur, he tagged along their little group as they walked through town, looking around. “So….how did you guys even end up here….? “ Ace asked with his arms over his head and his hands linked together behind his head as he walked close to Lightning. “Last thing I knew….. you were staying in a cave…..that’s What I was informed…” Sonic scoffed a bit behind them. “ yEaHHhHhH that was uh…. BEfOrE… the dragons set our cavern on fire…. “ The blue hedgehog looked to the side with his emerald eyes while gritting his teeth in a irritable way. “Thaaattttt would explain all the ash…” Spade spoke from his perch upon Silver’s right shoulder in his falcon form while preening his feathers with his beak. Ace winced slightly. “Yeah…..just glad you guys all got out of there…. “ “Barely….” Blaze added while swaying her lavender tail behind her. “Lightning and Silver both were trapped inside the cave while it was aflame….. Crimson and Shadow had to barge in and get them out… “ She finished her left ear twitching a bit. “Yikes- “ Spade squeaked. Lightning sighed and looked down at the side of her stomach then back up at Ace. “ and….to answer your question…..an old friend of Silver’s brought us……. After our home was…..ruined…..he came and lead us here…… “ Silver beamed at the mention of Alcor. “ Oh! Ace, Alcor is awesome….he’s really cool- he’s a red dragon that I met a few years back! “ The hedgehog said with a wholesome smile. “I have to admit….if it wasn’t for him I don’t know if I would have gotten medical treatment soon enough- “ The female hedgehog sighed a bit sadly. Ace’s ears fell a bit when she said those words. “ eh…..uh….yeah…………don’t almost die again please- “ Lightning giggles at him then smiles warmly. “ Heh….I don’t plan on it….. don’t you worry… “ Ace looked down at her with a somewhat worried amber gaze. “ …. And… if anything were to ever happen just…. Know I would protect you… “ she sighed. Shadow grumbled a bit in the back and coughed loudly. “Ya…. Ya know so would EvErYoNe ElSe HeRe…. RIghT…GuYs…? “ Sonic nodded a bit with a grin, while Blaze smiles with a nod as well, while Silver blurted out, “of course! “ Spade chuckled and flew over to Lightning. “You’re our friend- of course we will help as well.” Lightning snickered. “Oh geez- I don’t need a WhOlE ArMy protecting me… “ Both Shadow and Ace scoffed after her reply. “It’s not an ArMy….just your friends working together to help one another ! “ Silver smiled from behind. Lightning sighed slightly. “That’s true I guess…” The female hedgehog seemed to trail off as they passed a shop, an animal shop to be exact. Her blue eyes glued themselves to the window. “OOoOoOo- “ “Oh god- well- we lost her now- “ Shadow grumbled as Silver passed him, also seeming intrigued by the many types of creatures in the shop’s window. Ace sighed and made his way towards his brother and Lightning. “Animals….? What’s so interesting about them…. We see then everyday- yOu GuYs hAvE DrAgOnS… “ he said, crossing his arms. “And of course the last transforming- “ Spade huffed from the air. “YeS…that too- “ Ace added. Lightning squeaked at him. “BUt lOoK At ThEm- “ Silver smiles at the kitten of young grey kittens cuddling together and then pointed at them through the window. “Look, Blaze! Kittens! “ Blaze sighed. “Yes…I see- just remember that they ArEnT like me, Silver… “ she added while her tail swayed. “I’m not… the cute or snuggly type…. “ she growled under her breath. “No duh-“ Sonic said to her. “And I’m pretty sure kittens don’t have fire powers…” “Obviously not, Son-“ the lavender cat paused and looked over at the blue hedgehog. “…I don’t appreciate your vain comment… “ she finished. Lightning snorted at them then her eyes caught a small animal in the window, hiding in a small cage in the back, it was shivering as it had its black wings wrapped around its tiny body, and three tails that curled around its quivering feet. “Hm…. What is that….? “ Spade flew over and landed on her shoulder. “Looks to be an Epitrix- “ The Transforming announced. “And Epi-what…? “ Sonic’s ear twitched, confused. “An Epitrix- it’s a ancient creature, said to be around from the beginning of time- they are very very intelligent- they resemble a modern day cat or fox but with….. mythical like features… like wings, multiple tails, and magical powers- “ Spade puffed his feathers out, acting proud. Ace rolled his eyes. “We get it- you’re smart- no need to rub it in everyone’s face- “ “aM nOt…” “Sure…” Ace replied then walked to Lightnings side to look at the shivering creature, standing and staring at it silently for a few moments. “It looks absolutely terrified- “ Silver said sadly. “ I know,.. “ Lightning whimpered then looked at the door.
