The Power Pellets in the corners allow you to attack the ghosts and earn bonus points. After eating enough fruit, a doughnut will also appear which will give you bonus points. ==GAME MODES== Game A - Classic Pac Man Gameplay Game B - Pac Man but twice as fast Time - Enjoy watching an AI try to beat Pac-Man while the score displays the time. ==SCORE== Dot - 1 Power Pellet - 5 1st Ghost defeated - 40 2nd Ghost defeated in succession - 80 3rd Ghost defeated in succession - 120 4th Ghost defeated in succession - 160 Level 1 Doughnut - 10 Level 2 Doughnut - 30 Level 3/4 Doughnut - 50 Level 5/6 Doughnut - 70 Level 7/8 Doughnut - 100 Level 9/10 Doughnut - 200 Level 11/12 Doughnut - 300 Level 13+ Doughnut - 500 Every 1000 points grant you an extra life. ==ABOUT== I decided to make a full recreation of Pac-Man, but if it was a game on the Game and Watch. ==GHOSTS== There are 4 ghosts in the game with different behaviours, those being: Blinky - Always follows the player Pinky - Goes in front of Pac-Man to ambush him. Inky - Tries to align himself so Pac-Man is between him and Blinky. Clyde - Acts like Blinky, but chickens out to its scatter location if it gets too close to Pac-Man. Unfortunately, the only way to tell the ghosts apart is from the order they come in. (Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde) or by seeing where each ghost goes in Scatter mode. During certain intervals, the ghosts will go to their corners, Blinky goes to the top right, Pinky moves to the top left, Inky moves to the bottom right and Clyde moves to the bottom left. ==CREDITS== Eventlesstew - Game Creation 101 Soundboards: Sound effects (Taken from Mr Game & Watch from Smash Melee) InternetUser_005 - script for score display Rodriguezrrp - Script for finding the biggest value in a list. Since then, I have made some other large-scale projects on the Scratch engine such as Platform Article 50, Triangle Dungeon and Advanced Triangle Calculator. And guess what? I have another Pac-Man remake in the works. The new remake, called "Pac-Man Scratched" is very faithful to the original Arcade classic while bringing in additional features such as new mazes, Simultaneous 2-player gameplay and a brand new game mode. I hope you enjoy all of the features when the full game releases. :D As for this game, don't expect it to have any more updates, but please check out my two demos for Pac-Man Scratched. :) ORIGINAL DEMO FRUIT CHASE DEMO See you in the Spectral Realm! - Eventlesstew.
UPDATE HISTORY: v2.8.1 Lowered the volume of sounds. v2.8 - FINALLY fixed the bug preventing the game from being playable without fullscreen. I am so sorry for letting it plague the game for it's whole lifespan. - Reorganised the Patch Notes to match Pac-Man Scratched's Patch Notes. v2.7 - Changed the colour scheme because I didn't like the green display, but now it's more true to the Game and Watch games. - Added a new sound for when Pac-Man eats a ghost when it is frightened. - Fixed Time mode lag, thumbnail not showing up, incorrect sprites in Level 256 and spin animation on death/victory. - Removed patch notes for the two Prototypes for Game and Watch: Pac-Man due to character limits. v2.6 MAJOR OVERHAUL! - Completely changed the game display to look more like a green segmented screen. I know the original Game & Watch used white screens, but I thought it would fit the segmented display aesthetic better. - Level 256 now only uses the used game sprites rather than using its own library of one-segment sprites alongside them. This is to make recolouring everything easier if nobody likes the green LCD. - The inputted direction is now remembered - If for example you pressed the up key to move Pac-Man up, but there are walls in the way, then Pac-Man will move up that direction as soon as there is no longer a wall in the way rather than proceeding forward even if that turn is available. - Adapted code to work if the maze has been recoloured. - All counters are now in one sprite. - The Pause button is now offset from the GAME A, GAME B and TIME buttons to visually tell that it has a different function rather than just setting the gamemode. - The Background is now compatible with Turbowarp Widescreen. v2.5 Found the last 8 Makey Makey hats and deleted them. Now the Makey Makey extension icon is no longer there. v2.4 Added Gamepad support (From Scratch Addons) Removed Makey Makey support (Not sure where the remaining blocks are so I can remove the extension altogether) v2.3 Fixed an issue where the timer wasn't displaying the time properly if the "minute hand" was under 10. (It displayed 18:_6 for example instead of 18:06. Getting a Game Over will now bring you back to the menu instead of starting again on the same gamemode, this does not apply to Time Mode. v2.2 Added a thumbnail, accessible via a Cheat Code. Added the Clock mode, which comes with these features: - Pac Man played by an AI - Score counter being the time - Gameplay is muted automatically v2.1 Added some credits on the bottom right Added a new cheat code: "Noghost" This hides all of the ghosts so you can freely roam around the maze. The lives counter now uses icons instead of letters. The Level counter is now represented as an "L" instead of "LVL." Donuts now spawn depending on how many dots are left in the maze. It will still disappear if left uneaten for 10 seconds. Makey Makey support has been added Progress has been made on the Clock AI. You can now access it early by using Debug Mode on the menu. v2.0 This version has been released, the following changes are present from the second Prototype. - The maze is now a replica of that of the original Pac-Man. - Added GAME A and GAME B, GAME A matches the gameplay from the original Pac-Man while GAME B is twice as fast. - Lives and Level counters have moved to the bottom - There is now an overlay showing it as a true Game and Watch game. - Mobile Support! (very bad though)
