Hope you enjoy <33 Evilina sighed, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. “How many times do I have to remind you?” she scolded, irritated. "Sorry," Elia said, sheepishly. "Did you know how much trouble you would have gotten in? And me? I am the house captain- and I'm on guard this evening!" Elia fluttered here eyes. "Bu-ut, Evilie, can't you let me off today? I mean, today is my first flight day, sooooo..." "Fine. But ONLY for today, you hear me? In the meanwhile, your privileges have been stripped. Go back to your dorm." Elia smiled and bounced away, wings fluttering behind her. Evilina sighed. What was up with the younger students? There had been multiple reports of misbehavior and plain silliness. Trishia of Retone House had misbehaved during a lecture, Runtine of Eritine House had pulled silly faces and, of course, Elia of Yuvi House had gone out- at evening- to test her wings. Preposterous! And to think that these youngsters were the future of the society! Evilina thought, shaking her head. Soon, she resumed her post. If she squinted just so her eyes could barely see anything, she could see further. Weird talent, she knew, but Evilina was proud of it. When she squinted, her vision became clearer, she could see more and she could see up to kilometers and kilometers. Very useful. Especially in times like these, in times such as the Wonder War. Evilina squinted. At once, her vision expanded and she was peering thousands of meters away from her current position. "Oh, my!" she gasped when she saw a battlefield. The dead bodies, smoke and crimson red blood suggested that the battle had taken place recently. Evilina took the whistle and blew it thrice. In an instant, Madame Hertone was beside Evilina. "What is the matter?" Madame Hertone inquired. "There has been another battle. Closer to our school. Only three thousand four hundred and seventy two meters away, Madame. We’ll have to move soon.” “Indeed, we shall.” "But how, Madame?" Madame Hertone gave Evilina her famous mysterious simle. "Wait and see, Evilina, wait and see..." ᴛʜʀᴇᴇ ᴅᴀʏs ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ... "This is Madame Hertone. Plan 3a-05 is to be put into action. I repeat. Plan 3a-05 is to be put into action." Immediately, all the students walked, quickly, quietly and efficiently, back to their dorms. They took out their emergency satchel and walked to their house meeting room, where their captains were waiting. In the Yuvi House, Evilina was barking out orders. "Trine, make sure everyone has their satchels. Rit, make sure we have enough rations to last for everybody for a month. Gerina, gather the little ones and bring them over here. And while you're at it, get some people to help the medically unable students to safety." "Captain Evilina?" It was Wint, one of the little kids. "Yes, Wint?" "Why does Gerina have to gather us first?" "Prefect Gerina," Evilina corrected. "Why, Wint, to answer your first question, Prefect Gerina will have to do so because times like these...are hard. Very hard, indeed." Wint grew silent. Just as Evilina opened her mouth to speak, Madame Hertone's voice sounded from the speaker behind Evilina. "Hello, students of Ertine." Evilina frowned. Madame Hertone did not usually address her students this way. When Evilina listened closer, she could hear that Madame Hertone's voice sounded slightly strained. Evilina's eyes widened, but she said nothing. "Ertine is under great threat and peril. Laugh, you may, but you will regret doing so, sooner or later." Evilina gulped. This was definitely not Madame Hertone, or it was Madame Hertone trying to send a message. "Please, student, listen to your house captains and prefects." Evilina cocked her head for a moment. Everyone was watching her as her eyes grew wide and she let out a single, loud gasp. "What is it?" Gerina asked, finally breaking the tense silence. Evilina slumped onto an armchair, rubbing her temples and muttering 'we are not safe, we are not safe, we are not safe...' "Captian Evilina?" Gerina repeated. "What is wrong?" "Have...have you noticed something wrong with Madame Hertone's words?" Evilina finally croaked. “Why, yes, Captain,” Gerina replied. “They sound odd. Threatening, in a way.” Evilina closed her eyes and sighed. Students curiously watched her. “Spell the first letter of each sentence for me,” Evilina ordered. “Of course, Captain. H-E-L-…H-E-L…H-E-L-P! ‘Help’!” Several students gasped. Evilina looked wary. “If Madame Hertone is sending a help message, we will gladly answer it. But that also means…our attacker means business. Madame Hertone is the most accomplished witch in the land.” Evilina closed her eyes. “Raise your hand if you would like to accompany me to Madame Hertone.” Evilina opened her eyes. Not one person had volunteered to go with her. Not even the prefects.
