Two full moons shone bright on a little nightwing egg. The egg changed colours to silver and it started cracking. Once it had fully cracked a dragonet came out of it. The dragonet was a night-rain hybrid. It spotted its mothers. "She's come out!" A night-rain hybrid said excitedly. "What should we name it Marigold?" The sea-night hybrid asked her wife looking at the dragonet fondly. As she said that the stars shone on the little dragonet. Marigold gasped. "How about Star?" Marigold asked. "Do you like it Deepblue?" Marigold said a little nervoulsy. Suddenly a pink dragonet burst in. "I love it!" The dragonet shouted. "Roseflower i told you to go to sleep." Deepblue said. "How can I not watch my sister hatch?" Roseflower said complaining. Star squeaked and all the attention went back to her. Stars talons felt tingly she could hear all there thoughts which frightened her. "It's okay little sis," Roseflower cooed. "Roseflower back to bed!" Marigold shouted. Roseflower sighed but obeyed Star reached out her talons looking sad as her older sister left. Marigold stared at Star "What happens if she has a dark side like me and Roseflower, " Marigold asked worried. "Then we will protect her," Deepblue said wrapping her wing around Marigold. Tears ran out of Marigolds eyes "what if Dm attacks her?" She said bursting into tears. Star reached for her. "Mama," she squeaked. "Oops we woke her up," Deepblue said. Star fell back asleep.
