And there won't be a sequel to this. But I will be re-doing this in the future and making it into a series :D Also, there is music, you just gotta wait a few seconds to hear it.) [Backstory There was a time, a terrible, terrible time, when humans went to war against each other yet again. But one group of humans didn't. They loved peace- but that didn't mean that they were fond of each other. The group of humans was made out of five, and they hid in a cave, deep down in the Earth. Then, their interests were captured by magic. Such an elusive, maddening thing... Eventually, the five humans, known as the Great Five Founders emerged from their safe haven and stopped the war. Each went their own way after stopping the war, together. All of them founded their own kingdom: the Kingdom of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Humans. Each kingdom's citizens adapted to their kingdom's elemental magic. Fire citizens had flames dancing from their hair, the Water Kingdom citizens could turn into ice, the Wind Kingdom citizens had permanent wind magic tattoos on their forehead, the Earth citizens had plants growing from their hands and the Human citizens could build incredible things. The Human Kingdom, of course, did not wield any magic, but instead made incredible buildings, technology and machinery. Since the time of the Great Five, when a powerful magician did so, nobody had been able to wield all types of elemental magic. The magician was forgotten and soon, the elemental citizens began to think that it was impossible for one to wield all types of magic. Or so they thought. Enter, Princess Hydrine...] Concentrate, I thought. Concentrate. My hands were in front of me, palms out, steadily, blue light flooding from them. I was aware of the people surrounding me, all eager to take photos on the Princess's Magic Ceremony. I decided to give them a little scare before finishing my ceremony. I was the Princess of the Water Kingdom, born with special magical powers, destined to be queen. But no-one knew exactly how steadily I could control my powers, or the fact that I knew all types of elemental magic. I was aware that I would be scolded quite badly from this, but a princess needs her fun. So when I opened my eyes, a mischievous smile flitted across my face, disappeared, and the silvery magic of the Wind Kingdom poured out of my hands. Mother was walking me down the hallway to see Father and the Royal Council. "I mean, Hyrdine, it is a very good opportunity for the kingdom... but with good opportunities, there are-Hyrdine! Are you listening?" Mother snapped. "Yes, I am," I answered. "Anyways. As I was saying, good opportunities come with problems, too. For example, we may be able to finally get that alliance with the Wind Kingdom, or perhaps the Human kingdom, but then again, the Wind Kingdom may demand you because you can perform their magic." At this, Mother turned around sharply. "Are you able to perform any other type of magic?" I grinned sheepishly. "Welll..." I said, dragging it out. "Noyes." "What is 'noyes'? It is either 'no' or 'yes'." "Yes, I can." A flare of fire burst out from my right hand and grass started to sprout from my left. "And you have never told anyone? Not even me or your father?" "Why should I? Everyone would ridicule me..." "But then why would you show your ability to perform Wind magic at your ceremony last evening?" "I...wanted to have fun." Mother sighed, shaking her head. "When will you ever-" Boom! Crash! Bang! Down the hallway, a great, roaring fire was battling against water. The fire rose, up and up and up, licking the ceiling and being smoldered ever so slightly. I squinted and the water transformed into something more solid, but still able to move. Like slime. I waved my hand and a wall of ice appeared in front of me. "Hyrdine, dear?" Mother squeaked. "Yes, mother?" I replied, still watching the water-fire elemental battle. "I am... I am just going to run along and get your father. And the Royal Council." She didn't wait for my opinion and ran off, not looking behind her. I was fine with that. No-one around to bother me. I watched the water and fire battle, enchanted by the sight, not noticing the slithering green plant and the sneaky little creature sneaking up to me. Edit: please do not copy my projects. There is this one scratcher (who I shall not reveal their username) who copied me for literally everything and only credited me with the mouse trail when I asked. [Btw, the scratcher has not commented on this project. I deleted their comments.]
