Today someone in school was talking to her teacher about how she just tested the other day and found out she was autistic and how she needed some extra support. It was during homeroom, so I was just doing homework. Then the girl came back to her desk and the person behind her started punching her as hard as she could on her head while the teacher was out of the room, because she was "knocking some sense into her." She started crying while the other kids just laughed. Then I got up and went right in front of the girl's desk. The full conversation is below. (I actually made some decent comebacks this time.)
Me: "Come with me." Girl being bullied: "ok." *follows me to office so we can report the bullies and I come back to the room to wait for her.* Bully : "Oh come on, it's trending to do stuff like that. Besides, it's just a joke. Me: "Who decided that was trending? And that was not funny." Bully: "Well, I don't control the trends." Me: "You still can't hurt people like that." Bully: "It doesn't matter, she was mentally broken already anyway." Me: "Your the one mentally broken." Bully: "How so?" Me: "You didn't know? Well, there's your proof." Bully: "Your being so mean to me!" Me: "Like YOUR not being mean? You could have really hurt that girl!" Bully: "Well I didn't." Me: "Wow! You're a real over achiever, just when I think you can't say something dumber, you do." Bully: "Ugh, go take a hike." Me: "Great idea, and maybe you could go on a run." Bully: "Huh?" Me: "Of course your confused, what I'm saying is if you ran as much as your mouth, you would be in great shape." Bully: "That's a stupid comeback." Me: "If you want stupid, look in a mirror. Leave that girl alone, or else." Bully: "Or else what?" Me: "Well, I know another jerk who made fun of my autism and got EXPELLED, and your being reported to the princibal right now. If you want to lower your chances of being expelled, or getting into some trouble with my dad, who is a cop by the way, I suggest you stop talking and keep your fists where they belong." Bully: "Fine."
