- - - whoa did I make this :00 /pos - - - yoo an art piece I actually like haha-- honestly I think I genuinely like this :) I like the positioning, the background doesn't look too crappy, and the shading is just beautiful alkjdf <3 /pos view the hq image here: https://ibb.co/2NR8NTB - - - [ space to go forward, the on-screen arrows should be self-explanatory ] 1. finished art piece just the finished art piece so you can see the beauty without seeing the ugliness of the sketches ack 2. rough sketch! just roughly sketching out what I want the character to look like, it look horrible i know but you have to trust the process-- 3. more finalized sketch I drew over the rough sketch and sketched a bit more, but I made it a bit more detailed and look better 4. finished lineart this is the lineart I decided to go with, I didn't save the images as I went along so this is just the finished one haha 5. coloring!! yes I do sometimes add gradients when it's a big art piece like this haha,, I would add in the colors without the gradients but again, I did the art process on impulse and didn't save the original coloring 6. rough background sketch ew ew ew it looks so ugly omg-- it's self-explanatory as well haha 7. better background sketch ig just kind of retracing over the rough sketch, making it look better lmao (skipping forward a bit--) 8. finished background! honestly, the background looks amazing and took even longer than the character, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! I made a few changes in the finished product :) yes I couldn't do the water and decided to just not do it slkdfjd 9. finished character, shading + lighting! I did 2 layers of shading and 1 lighting, the first shading layer was me filling the whole character with a saturated blue and then erasing parts of it with a soft brush! the second shading layer I did was with a darker blue and I basically colored in anything super dark! and then of course the lighting where I used an orange and just shoved it where i thought was necessary 10. finished art piece without words 11. finished art piece! - - - art + code // @.obliivious- character + dmc // @.-butterwaffle- audio // skinny dipping - sabrina carpenter - - -
