Separated from your fleet and surrounded by endless hordes of enemies, your death is all but guaranteed. Against such impossible odds, you have just one goal: to take out as many of them as possible before you go down. Please read the next two sections of the Notes and Credits! They contain important information about the game/controls. The other sections are mostly just me rambling, but if you take the time to read through them too, I'll appreciate you forever <3 If there's lag, try playing here: https://turbowarp.org/732165178 CONTROLS • [/\] or [W] to accelerate forward • [<][>] or [A][D] to change direction • [space] or [Z] or [K] to shoot • [X] or [L] to dash (hold to dash longer) • [P] to pause/unpause GAME INFO The blue bar at the bottom right shows how much ammo you have left. The bar slowly recharges over time. IMPORTANT: YOUR OWN BULLETS CAN DAMAGE YOU. The number at the bottom left shows your remaining health. The circle next to it lights up whenever your dash ability is available. Your dash takes 3 seconds to recharge. While dashing, you're immune to damage but can't change direction or shoot. Whenever you clear a wave of enemies, you regain one HP. You can choose between multiple gamemodes. Hardcore mode is identical to normal except you have only one HP and you can't regenerate. If anyone makes it to wave 10 in hardcore, I'll be pretty impressed. If anyone makes it to wave 15, I'll be EXTREMELY impressed. Chaos mode is... well... you'll see. Please let me know if anything needs rebalancing! This game is meant to be quite hard, but I still want it to be fun. Also please tell me if you notice any glitches or exploits, I appreciate it! NOTES/TIPS • Shoot carefully - your own bullets can damage you! • If you collide with an enemy, both you and the enemy take damage. • Projectiles inherit shooter velocity. Shoot in the direction you're moving for faster bullets and in the opposite direction for slower bullets. • Always keep an eye out for bullets wrapping around the screen. They can get you when you least expect it. Bullets disappear after around 4 seconds. • Your dash ability can be handy for evading large groups of enemies or bullets. RANDOM DEV NOTES I started this game in fall 2022 and worked on it for a couple weeks before abandoning it. Over two years later, I suddenly remembered it one day and decided to polish it up and release it. I was originally just going to share that old prototype with minimal new additions, but I ended up making it into a full game anyway. Revisiting such an old project has been really interesting. Using Scratch again for the first time in over a year is pretty nostalgic for me. Relearning what all my old code does, on the other hand, was... an experience. I wish I left more comments in 2022, and I also wish Scratch had a better commenting system in general. Unfortunately, Scratch isn't very good at encouraging readable code. I've tried making some of my scripts a bit more legible, but it's been an uphill battle. Some of it is my fault, too. Originally, bullets would never despawn unless they hit something. This was to punish inaccuracy and up the difficulty as time went on. However, it made the game pretty much impossible very quickly, so I scrapped the idea. Friendly fire was an intended mechanic from the beginning, but I debated whether it should apply to enemies too. Ultimately, I decided against it. I didn't want to reward players for enemies walking into their own bullets, and I also didn't want enemy bullets accidentally stealing kills. So in the end, enemies are immune to red bullets, even though the player takes damage from green bullets. Is this fair? Maybe not, but neither is life :) Wave 25 is a mini-boss. It should be possible to defeat it, but I haven't thoroughly tested it yet after making some changes. The farthest I've gotten so far is wave 26, with a score of 262. (Embarrassingly, I died by running into one of the basic enemies multiple times.) As of 10/25/2025, I reached wave 34 with a score of 378! This will likely be my last project in a while. Maybe my last project, period. Scratch was what originally got me interested in programming, and I've had a lot of fun on this website over the years. Nowadays, though, my attention is on other things. I may periodically update this project if I notice major bugs or issues with gameplay. I don't foresee myself adding too many new features, but we'll see. Maybe if something is highly requested. Whoever you are, if you've read this far, you're a real one :) CREDITS All code by me (). Some inspiration taken from "Turret Shooter" by , "Ast3roids" by , and another really cool space shooter pen game I've unfortunately forgotten the name of (EDIT: "Beyond Infinity" by ). Sounds made by me using Bfxr. Music from Touhou.
