Please do not read if you are triggered/upset with the mentioned theme(s) <3 ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ ♡ 20 years // prologue it was the first day of spring. i walked into the gates of school in korea for the first time. i took in a breath of fresh air and smiled. i had moved to korea from singapore because my father had gotten a good job here. little did i know, this day would change my life forever. “ugh, am i seriously already lost?” i muttered to myself as i searched for my first class. i was so occupied in my thoughts that i bumped into someone. “sorry, ill help pick your books up..” i choked without even looking up. not the best first impression. “its ok. arent you the new girl? welcome!” replied a soft, soothing voice. i looked up to see a boy with a warm smile. i gasped and nodded timidly. i explained that i was lost and that i needed help getting to classroom 20B. he seemed to understand. “right, this school can be hard to navigate sometimes!” he laughed. i trembled. he walked all the way across the school and pointed to a classroom nearby. “that’s classroom 20B.” i thanked him and dashed away as fast as i could. im so embarrassed. did i seriously start looking in the opposite direction? nghh, im such a wreck right now. as i walked into the classroom i felt the stares of everyone inside pierce into me. was i doing something wrong? "..." i paused and bit my lip. right. i was the new girl now. i should get used to that. "omg!! did you see that new girl?? yes!! yeonu!! she's so pretty, ugh she's like a goddess..." "i wanna be like her!!" "what hair products does she use ? wow..." as i hurried through the corridor i heard almost every girl around me whispering about this "new girl". me. hi. im yeonu. and that one day i described at my new school was the one that changed me forever. ♡ as the day went on, i started to get the hang of finding my classrooms. as i entered math class, i stood in the doorway, staring at one person sitting my themselves at the back of the classroom. that guy who helped me that morning. as usual, i was the last one to arrive. i sighed as i sat down in the only available seat in the room - the one next to him. shuffling all me belongings away from him a bit more, i glanced at him one more time before turning my attention to the class. "can i go to the bathroom?" the guy next to me spoke for the first time that class. the math teacher nodded as he walked out the door, almost with a gloomy mood around him. i inquisitively wondered upon what had made him seem so sad. "its not my business," i whispered to myself. "youre making it seem like youre obsessed with him or somethi-" i gulped as i realised what i had just said, albeit quietly. flushed with embarrassment, i exhaled and ignored myself once again. ♡ i walked home that afternoon, still pale with terror and shock. something had happened in school. but i couldnt gather my thoughts together at that time. as i entered the porch of our small family home, my face wilted in horror. i heard screaming and swearing from inside the house. my parents. they were fighting again. i burst in to find my little brother wailing in his bedroom and my two parents shrieking at each other while i tried to calm them down. after i had succeeded with this i took a few deep breaths and walked to my bedroom. dinner came and went. our whole family was silent as me and my brother prodded at our food and silently sobbed. we both hated to see our parents fighting like this. i pushed my plate away and stood up. "im going to bed now.". it was only 8pm. but i couldnt care less. ♡ the next morning i called for my mom. "youre going to be late for work!! why arent you up yet!" i shouted, pounding on her door. after eventually giving in, i decided to go into her room to see what was going on. i gasped when i saw what had unfolded. bIood was the first thing i saw. then a shard of gIass. then i saw death. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ ♡ author's note // YAYAYAY FIRST PROJ!! tell me what you think of this story so far!! you can discuss what you think will happen in the comments; id like to hear your ideas!! i think ill be posting one chapter a week or so, ill detail further in the future <33 asdfghjkl bybyee :"D ♡ end ♡
