assalamualikum, may peace be upon you and may allah bless yourself and your loved ones, ameen<3 — — — school is a huge experience that can be both good, and bad. school is a place to enhance our knowledge but if its not balanced, it can be damaging to our mental health. but how exactly do i balance it out? i think most of us have the same goal, we want a good education so we can get a good future. constant studying doesnt do the trick though, and im going to explain some ways to have good grades as well as getting plenty of free time for yourself! keep up with homework. it may be super tempting to procrastinate and leave your essay for last minute, but you actually get low marks for that. it is because when you have a lot of time to do it, you can actually plan your homework, write it properly, and include as little mistakes as possible. if it helps, create a table for homework! you can include the due date, the information about the homework and a tick box when youve done! when you get home, revise the topics of each subject you learned that day. for example, i had science, business studies, maths, geography and food + nutrition. i would write own what i did each lesson for future study references. plus, if you find the topic tricky, you can always revise and study that topic! make sure you respect your teachers. your teachers can help you with any tricky topics and lend you some revising tools! i was given a textbook once for free because i was struggling on a topic in maths. find a nice place to study. for me, its either in my room or the living room. make sure the area is quiet and free from distractions. phones can be tempting so keep it far far FAR away from sight. you can study in libraries, cafes and parks if you like! visit the library lots. especially in middle school/secondary school libraries, the books there are just chefs kiss:0 the librarians are usually pretty chill about things too so in my opinion its a great place to study. its good to explore and find out books to read and this increases your knowledge! libraries also have printers and study books too so you can ask your librarian to temporarily use these items! invest in good school supplies, make you notes appealing to look at. this makes note-taking more fun! you can use pinterest for inspo too! if you ever get de-motivated, think about how you would react in the future. would you get the job you always wanted? the house? the lifestyle you look up to? carry a nice drink if you want to feel relaxed (but not sleepy lol) in school. your favourite drink can calm you at school, leaving you dress free. id invest in a flask, that keeps your hot drink hot and your cold drink cold. also, because its not see through, you can drink whatever you want without anyone noticing! bring a journal or small notebook to school. you can doodle or take messy notes which you can neat up later at home! dont take it seriously when someone calls you a know-it-all or something similar when you take extra notes or do a lot of work. take it as a compliment, youre improving your grades. plus, why hate on someone thats smart? use your amazing thumbnail skills to create bomb presentations! people on scratch have really good design skills so use those to create amazing presentation slides! thumbnail skills + good research will leave the teachers blown to mars. if you are good at art, draw on your slides! trust me, youll get top marks in everything. school is fun if you know what your doing. english, if you like reading, this subject is honestly the best subject. if you like problem solving, maths is for you. but if you dont understand your subjects, how can you see the fun side of it? study until you know what you are doing and get the hand of it. sounds wrong, but maths is actually fun. use quizlet for flashcards, seneca for revision. include visual diagrams in your notes, its mushc easier to remember. i hope that somehow helped!
