AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Yes, your eyes are seeing this right. This is a Champion Stadium run featuring five whole teams composed entirely of Strikes. Featuring blood (round 2) sweat (round 3) and tears (round 4) Round 1: SHAUNTAL and Chandelure. Water weak. Sets sun after sync. Sync buffs are more effective. Barry performed as well as ever and actually KO’d the enemy the quickest of all runs: just after Shauntal’s first sync. Sunny Day was never even used. This man did it all with nothing but self Speed boosts, some enemy Speed drops from me, and the occasional Hype Up 3 +1 SpA to all allies from Caitlin’s grid. I actually use Caitlin defensively a lot so this run was no new experience to me. Barry is the tankiest striker I have, so I probably could have saved him to use as a tank and beat Shauntal with Siebold instead… but what’s the style in that. Round 2: CAITLIN and Sigilyph. Electric weak. Applies Endurance after every sync move. First sync move countdown halved. AHHHHHHHHHHHHGGHHHHH IT TOOK ME JUST ABOUT TWENTY TRIES!!! Any longer and I'd have run in circles screaming around my house. Caitlin’s Sigilyph is SOOOOOO CRAZY BULKY!!! I went into this with Sophocles at level 95. I had to lift him up to 140 to beat the stage. He probably could have done it without it, looking back... but the luck just wasn’t in my favor and I needed reliability in this tough run. Featuring me as a potion bot and Molayne as a Backfire sacrifice. Round 3: GRIMSLEY and Liepard. Bug weak. Paralyzes before sync. Physical damage reduction. Okay, so, initially, I tried to on-type this with Guzma. Didn’t work. On-typed with Bugsy. Didn’t work. Yeah, let’s just use Nate. And Nate DOMINATED… after several tries of getting paralyzed JUST before landing the final blow and instead being blown up by Grimsley’s Liepard’s Iron Tail. I held my breath during the end of this one and let out a big sigh when it was done. Round 4: MARSHAL and Conkeldurr. Psychic weak. Special attacks deal more damage than usual. I kind of won this one on accident. I tried it once, got destroyed by Marshal’s sync move (except for Hapu) and leveled Giovanni up a bit. I figured Plumeria didn’t need to stay around after poisoning Conkeldurr… buuuuut she lived the sync on the round I won anyway and totally Smogged and MGR’d for us like a champ. I ended the battle with all three characters standing. Round 5: IRIS and Haxorus. Dragon weak. I do not remember the stage parameters, but the one I chose myself was to halve the sync move countdown. Won on my first attempt. Silver, Maxie, Lusamine, they all just make mincemeat of the opposition. I leaned into more of a supportive role for Lusamine here with Lunge and a tank role for Silver, dodging attacks because of his Trainer Move and burning opponents with Sacred Fire. I forgot how much damage he does under the sun, though, because after syncing with him to replenish it he demolished Haxorus with Overheat. Seriously, I hardly even needed Maxie in the finale. The only thing I wish about this battle is that Iris would use her own sync move for Haxorus instead of Dragon Sync Impact. I know that's in a different costume... but come on, this is still Iris, it wouldn't be THAT hard to code in Dragon Sage Outrage with a slightly different model. Teams: Round 1: Caitlin - Barry - Me (“Twinleaf”) — CAITLIN Grid name: a reference to my school, this grid, and REM sleep all at once Full grid pictured No lucky skill — BARRY Grid name: ThudrChaos Full grid pictured Critical Strike 2 — ME Strike Marowak Mon name: Slapdos No lucky skill Round 2: Me - Sophocles - Molayne (“Hokulani”) — ME Grid name: dumb joke about my school related to soup Full grid pictured No lucky skill — SOPHOCLES No grid No lucky skill (boring huh) — MOLAYNE No grid (yet) No lucky skill Round 3: Hilda - Nate - Marshal (“Dominate”) — HILDA Grid name: Gigigigigi Grid: Standfast 5. Standfast 5. Potion MP Refresh 2 (MPR actually came into play abundantly throughout this run) No lucky skill — NATE Grid name: Black (it’s in the no. 2 spot) Full grid pictured Critical Strike 2 — MARSHAL The only reason I used this man for anything is because he was a bulky strike that lowers defense for purposes of my all-strike challenge only and I will never ever use him over Brawly from this day on. So, no, no grid, no luckies. Round 4: Plumeria - Giovanni - Hapu (“Viridian”) — PLUMERIA I have never even used her before I have not gridded her or candied her — GIOVANNI Grid name: Bongo Cat Grid: Psychic: On A Roll 2, Psychic: On A Roll 2 No lucky skill — HAPU Grid name: BoxyAmulet Just the standard ring (UNTIL SOONER OR LATER… SHE’S GETTING A GRIIIID SOOOOON) No lucky skill Round 5: Silver - Maxie - Lusamine (“Scary”) — SILLLLVURRRRR Grid name: Sunday Full grid pictured Dauntless — MAXIE No grid (whaaaat?)
