The small dragonet glares at Thorn. Blisters 'son'. Some of Blisters old soldiers had told Thorn about the tiny dragonet that Blister had found and adopted a few years back. Blister had twisted the dragonets mind and lied to him until he was loyal only to her, turning him into the perfect weapon. He had been left behind on the fake brightest night, when Blister had come to the stronghold and been killed by the Eye of Onyx. Apparently though, he had heard what happened and blamed Thorn. She had not been expecting to be attacked by a dragonet. And the fact that he was the only assassin to breach the strongholds security in months was a little concerning. Her Outclaws had managed to capture him with no fatalities, but he had definitely wrecked some damage, at least three of her guards were in the infirmary, and Kindle said that none of them would be ready for duty anytime soon. How such a young dragonet had done more than any of the other assassination attempts so far was a puzzle. Though really it made sense. Blister would have expected nothing short of the best from 'her child'.
I probably won't write more in this one. I just wanted to write this one scene. Tui T. Sutherland for WoF
