“Dreampaw.” A voice called from behind her. It was silent and calm. She wondered who it was. Perhaps her sister? Dreampaw whipped around to see Angelpaw, half beaten, claw marks bleeding out across her left eye, and other bruises and scratches on her body. She looked unusually calm for her situation. Something wasn’t right. Something was off. Dreampaw quickly shut her thoughts up. “Angelpaw…what happened?! Get the guards NOW! Gu-” Angelpaw quickly shut Dreampaw off with a “bloody” paw, knowing she had to be quick for her plan to take action. She pulled out the bucket of paint that she held with her tail and splashed it on Dreampaw. “What the-?! My fur! Angelpaw-” The red paint splattered all over her body, making it look like blood. The sudden change of temperature made her hiss, her claws revealing. Angelpaw backed up, throwing the paint can across the room, out of sight. She fell down and gave Dreampaw a sly smirk. It was time for the chaos to begin. Angelpaw’s smirk turned into a fake but convincing look of horror. “GUARDS! COME QUICKLY!” Angelpaw shrieked. Dreampaw became paralyzed and stood as guards came running to Angelpaw’s side. “Drea-dreampaw she…” Angelpaw acted as if she was out of breath, her stuttering enhancing her claim. The guards reassured her, calling backup. Meanwhile, Dreampaw was being guarded, her paws in the air, stained with a runny red substance. “It's not what you think it is! I swear! I would neve-” Dreampaw was silenced by a spear pointed towards her neck. The guard silenced her, giving Angelpaw more time about the situation. “Dreampaw…she thought I was going to win…because of my beauty. I told her that she’s more pretty than me b-but she was blinded by rage and fury. S-she lost cont-trol and at-at-attacked me! My eye has been s-scarred. I look hid-hideous.” Angelpaw cried, tears rolling down her cheeks. The paint had dried by now, but Angelpaw’s cries turned into loud sobs. She did it obnoxiously but everyone was too blinded by shock to realize. Dreampaw stood there, dumbfounded, that her sister would do such a thing. Dreampaw stood dumbfounded. Blinking a few times to make sure that this is real and happening. Angelpaw’s wailing haunted her, her cries echoing in her ears. It felt horrible, a pit forming in her stomach and her head lowering in shame. “Angelpaw…she…she framed me…she knew I would win because of my beauty and how I was well liked so she…she…” Dreampaw quickly put the puzzle together, before hearing the voices of her parents. Her mother rushed to Angelpaw’s side without hesitation, calming her down. Meanwhile, her father had questioned the scene. “What in the heavens is going on here? Dreampaw what happened?!” Saintred yelled. Dreampaw didn’t respond, instead giving her father a look of plead. It stunned him, but he quickly snapped out of it. The guards ran over to Saintred giving him an explanation of Angelpaw’s claim. Dreampaw was ordered to be sent to the dungeon, locked up in the farthest cell. Everyone else went to help out Angelpaw. (continued below)
(continued from above) Rather while she was being dragged to her fate. She did not give a look or feel of revenge, nor sadness, but pure rage. Meanwhile, Angelpaw was at the infirmary, her scars being cleaned. She told them that she’ll do her eye herself, being reassured ‘you’ll be okay’ and ‘she's gone now’. She shaked and stuttered in her sentences. She wasn’t really happy, nor sad, but instead, guilty. Found guilty of fraud. Angelpaw knew that if she slipped in her words, or if cracks in her claims were sighted that there was no going back. Crimes like these would charge people of REBIRTH, the project where you are reborn as not a saint, but a sinner. Destined to the underworld, and to live an unwealthy and lucky life on earth. The price was so high to pay because that would mean there was a security breach in the angel-recruit’s system. People in heaven are chosen because they were not only good in their life, but also because they are expected to be a non-sinful person in heaven, for as long as they are there. Surely, no one would find out, right? Everyone believes her currently. Dreampaw wouldn’t even be able to escape. So, she should be the new Saintress! Problem solved. Dreampaw is currently sitting in her cell, crying herself to sleep. She is curled up against the wall, her knees up to her chest and her head on her knees. Angelpaw, her lifelong sister, just betrayed her. All for a stupid title. Now, she’ll be kicked out of heaven. She also has no evidence to prove that she’s innocent. What a mess. “Why? Angel? Why…?” She sobbed in between her tears. Dreampaw gazed up at the moonlight peeking through the window above her head. She felt her halo shimmer in the light, still as golden as ever. Dreampaw crawled up onto the small, cold metal bench and curled up in a ball. She silently cried her life away, waiting for the day to come. Waiting for her revenge. A guard tossed a bright orange jumpsuit in the cell. Dreampaw glared at him angrily and slipped on the jumpsuit. While Angelpaw rested in her comfy luxurious bed, guards outside her bedroom as she struggled to sleep. Something itched at the back of her mind. It wasn’t anger this time though, it was guilt. It judged her even harder. The truth is, she did really feel regret. She never intended to go through with banning her sister from Heaven. It just…she had to. The thought of not doing it would make her feel even MORE regret for the rest of her life. But…so many things could go wrong here. She’s not that good of a liar. Dreampaw is. But why would Dreampaw need to lie in this situation? She didn’t think about it as much, instead adjusting her pillow and closing her eyes, praying to HERMLIFIAH that this would go well. --- its drama time woohoo Credits: Art: @-hedwiggy- Authors: @Popllquixii did most of this one Audio: Backstabber - Kesha Characters: Dreampaw and Angelpaw fun fact - the art takes place when dreampaw is being taken away from the guards fun fact 2 - dream is the one "singing" the song. it's supposed to highlight angel's betrayal, and how she "backstabbed" dream. although dream says "everybody knows it" no one really does..
