Heya! this entry, scince my computer is having issues uploading my entry, i've posted it on toyhouse, here: https://toyhou(delete).se/17913698.other-art ! This is going to be for his backstory! Drift Among the Stars (wip) Ceilo woke early that morning, well before his alarm clock would go off, with a gnawing, empty feeling in his stomach. He knew well he was safe in his hammock, the sea breeze whispering outside. He rolled over sleepily, his mind only half awake. For a moment he watched the ocean crash against the boulders at the shore, and heard the throaty whistle of an oystercatcher. He rolled over again but felt the fabric slip away from underneath. Celio hit the ground with a wooden thud. He groaned, and rubbed his head, and got up, his paws still feeling heavy with sleep. Gathering his senses he padded downstairs to the small kitchen and living room space on the bottom floor of the lighthouse. Celio put on a kettle, and went to wake up Ren. Ren was Celio’s roommate, and slept in the small bedroom on the ground floor, and although she was rude sometimes, and could be controlling and toxic, Celio still loved her. He rapped three times on Ren’s door and heard a muffled Grunt. Celio opened the door just a crack and saw her sitting, her blue-gray fur ruffled from sleep. "what?" "i-um...just wanted to ask if you wanted me to make you breakfast or to go back to sleep.” Celio asked nervously. Ren shook her head. “Al..Alright. I'm not that hungry anyways. I'll make it later.” He exited the messy room quietly and padded towards the front door. It's red-and-white striped color seemed to glow in the half-light as Celio shut behind him. He trotted out to the cliffside to watch the ocean. He looked at the crashing waves and let the strong winds tug at his lavender fur and pale white wings. He looked at the coastline for a moment more, then set off down a steep trail that bordered the cliffs and the beach. He kicked a wayward stone with his paw, and heard it clatter down onto the dark gray boulders below. Celio felt his body slip from underneath him due to the force of the kick and he fell to the sparsely grassed ground. The trail he walked on was thin, and he was dangerously close to falling. The unstable ground underpaw began to crack and Celio felt the large chunk of rock and dirt pulling away from the cliff. He scrabbled on the side, trying to grab hold of something, anything, to save his life, but his paws met empty air. He gasped and crashed onto the sharp gray boulders. The wind from within Celio's body rushed out of him and he gasped for breath but inhaled only mouthfuls of dirt and rock. The world was a fog around his mind, rapidly losing consciousness. The last thing that pricked at the edge of Celio’s knowing- his being- was that he remembered that he had left the kettle on. Celio gasped, quickly sitting up. He banged his head against a wooden beam as he did so. “Owww.” He rubbed at one of his horns, suddenly aware of a throbbing headache. Instead of the smooth glassy material called starblood that his horns were made from, he felt rough bandages and reached to touch the tip of the horn. It was gone. He gingerly touched the gauze and winced. He brought his paw back down and found some goopy starblood from the inside of the horn that must have leaked through. Celio looked around. The room he was in was wreathed in white banisters, all with the emblem of a gold, black and red crane. Potted monstera plants sat in corners, rays of milky sunlight filtering from the canopied roof above. Celio was on a bed, his front leg also bandaged with a spot of crimson on it. He tried to stand, but as soon as he put weight on his injury his legs buckled and he crumpled to the ground. Celio let out a shriek of pain and heard muffled voices and quiet pawsteps rushing towards him. He looked up to see a smiling face staring down at him. “Hello!” The stranger meowed. Celio crawled back in fear. The cat - he wasn’t actually sure what species it even was- had pale eyes with white irises and darker scleras. It had bluish horns and pale white fur with red and gold dipped tufts and ears. The same colors of the Crane emblem. “Don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you.” Their voice was hollow and airy, like winter wind. “You’re safe now.”
