TNE by: @Myxo- Snowkit tossed the moss ball to her sister, but it hit Goldenpelt instead. Whitekit immediately said "Wasn't me!" And went running outside the nursery but ran into their father. Snowkit looked over and sighed. Father was going to take Whitekit somewhere, probably out of camp, while she got lectured by Goldenpelt. Again. It was slightly better before Brightspot's kits became apprentices last moon. While they didn't talk much, Goldenpelt ignored Snowkit and Whitekit more. Ashstar smiled at Whitekit, whose amber eyes lit up. "Are we going somewhere again?" Ashstar nodded, but Goldenpelt spoke up, surprising Snowkit "Will you take both brats off of my paws? Or will you just take that one again? Like always, " Ashstar started to stammer something about not being able to take both of them, but a young apprentice came into the nursery and looked at Snowkit. It was Flowerpaw; she was one of Brightspot's kits and had become a medicine cat apprentice. Flowerpaw was a mixture of orange black and white; some patches were kinda shaped like flowers, hence her name. "Snowkit! It's time for your exercises!" Iceleaf had introduced some exercises for Snowkit to do to help strengthen her paw last moon. They were incredibly boring. As Snowkit walked to the medicine den with Flowerpaw, Flowerpaw talked. A lot. As they were walking, Snowkit was limping a little bit, favoring her twisted paw. The exercises were for strengthening her paw so she could use it. Iceleaf had told her that it would always look twisted and off, but she would be able to walk and run normally eventually. Soon enough, they got to the medicine den where Iceleaf was waiting. She smiled at the two of them and motioned for Snowkit to sit. Snowkit did just that, and Flowerpaw sat next to her, quieting as she watched. Iceleaf lifted Snowkit's paw and moved it around to examine it. "It's looking good. You should be able to use it normally in a couple of moons," Snowkit then asked "How do you know what exercises to do and all?" Then Iceleaf did the thing. The glance thing. She looked down, looked at Snowkit's paw, looked back down, and then looked at Snowkit to talk to her. A lot of cats did that when her paw was mentioned, especially the elders. While she was doing it, Snowkit looked toward Flowerpaw, their eyes met, and Flowerpaw shrugged at her mentor's weird behavior. Then Iceleaf spoke "I've… seen something similar before." Snowkit's eyes widened; this was the most information she had ever gotten before. she asked a question before the subject could be changed "Really? When did you see it? Who-" Iceleaf interrupted before Snowkit could finish her questions. "It's nothing for you to worry about. Now, let's get on with your exercises," her voice had changed. Her tone was stern and dismissive. Snowkit ignored the change in tone and opened her mouth to ask more questions. But she stopped when she saw Flowerpaw frantically shaking her head out of the corner of her eye. Snowkit sighed. Flowerpaw was right, asking questions never worked. It just got her in trouble. Every time. It was better to stay quiet, listen, and observe. Observe the glances and observe how her father clearly favored Whitekit. How everyone favored Whitekit. How Father refused to actually look at her he would rather look at his perfect daughter. Whitekit was perfect. That's what everyone believed. Except for Snowkit.
