(this was my swc july 2022 writing comp entry <3) Author’s note: More than anything else, this short story was inspired by my own practicing of circus arts, in particular aerial silks and circus wheel. I’ll likely never perform in a circus, though I would love to watch one sometime, but it’s fun to imagine it sometimes. Both Sulvi and the young girl’s perspective were such a joy to write.
