Name: Kali Gender: Male(he/him) Very small, but has huge personality! Adventurous and curious about everything, especially nature Loved to collect trinkets and carve things out of wood Kali started his life as a normal cat who lived with his family in an underground village. His biggest chore was mining, and he did it quite a lot, with little resentment towards it. One day when Kali was mining, he broke through a tunnel wall and found a small space, perfect for a cat his size, and of course, he squeezed inside. Once in, Kali looked around and discovered a red, diamond-shaped gem, that lay suspiciously in the middle of the cavern. He stepped closer, eyeing the gem which seemed to hum with life. Just then Kali's parents called him, so he scooped the gem into his pack and scurried back home. That night when Kali slept, the gem began to make an effect on him. For months Kail had hallucinations of eyes watching him wherever he went. It gave him a horrible feeling, but when he looked directly at the eyes, they vanished. His friends noticed something off about Kali, but he dismissed their questions with a shrug. Kali started feeling hatred grow at his friends and family, everything started to feel unfair and negative. One night, Kali's little brother, Rowan, was fighting with Kali about who should clean out the cave they shared. Rowan bit Kali's tail and Kali finally snapped. He growled so loudly at Rowan that their parents came running to see what was the matter. Kali whipped around to face them. "I'm done with this life, I'm done with everything and everyone!" As he yelled, his originally grey fur grew red, and horns peeked out of his head fur. "I'm DONE." And with that he leaped over Rowan, scratching his eye in the act, and fled out of the house and village. Kali ran deep into the twisting caverns where nobody could find him. The gem he still carried in his pack, led him ever onward. Kali eventually found a new cave where he rested for a time and developed into a new form. Rage brewed inside him, but cooled since he never saw real people. The eyes whispered secrets to Kali that no one else knew. They would always make him content, never argue, and he would be happy alone. I'll evolve the story further but only if I win since I wrote SO DANG MUCH I wasn't expecting to do that, I got very carried away! maybe something where he finds more creatures like him, out of the cavern maze, where they have their own civilization of strange creatures. MaAAYbee also, a famine that forces Kali's original family out of the caverns and into the real world so they meet again When Kali's ancestors went into the caverns, the world was a wasteland, the caves were safer back then.
