I liked my original better. 3: Small drawing of Pisces. 4: Edited drawing of Pisces. 5: Another small drawing of Pisces. I like this one! 6: The cape. 7: Oh, Pisces! 8: Edited 9: Edited That's it! I hope you like it!
Pisces lurked through the shallows, waiting for an idea. Suddenly, it hit him. Pisces turned around and went to the deep end. He dove into the murky water, staying under for several minutes. Once he had what he wanted, he burst back up to the surface, gasping for air. Pisces had found something beautiful. He had heard stories, but he never expected to actually find the treasure! Of course, he had hoped for a good book, but this would be nice, too. A shimmering blue cape, dripping wet, was wrapped around his shoulders. He wondered how much he could sell it for. He would be able to afford a gift for his friends, Sue Ellen and Max. They probably wouldn't appreciate whatever he got them, since Sue Ellen and Max are fish, but he could try. He took in a deep breath and started swimming again. He knew the directions to Apple's shop by heart. He had loved that place ever since he was a young child. Or, at least, he loved the idea of that place. He swam for what felt like forever, even though it was just a few minutes. He couldn't wait to see how much the cape was worth! Apple had just opened the shop, so he wouldn't be too busy with other customers. Apple was a big coyote, with gigantic ears and a small heart. He spoke with a gruff voice. "What do you want?" Pisces suddenly remembered why he didn't like going here that often. Pisces whispered, "How much would you pay for this?" Apple growled, but once he saw the cloak, his eyes lit up for a moment. The sparkle in his eyes was gone in an instant. "Three ados." Apple decided. "Maybe two." Pisces's heart dropped. "Only three?" Pisces was close to tears. Three ados weren't enough to buy a carrot, let alone a good gift for his friends! "Take it or leave it, kid," Apple smirked. "No one will give you more for that worthless piece of junk. And it's wet, too! Two ados, final offer." "No thank you," Pisces said as he walked away. "I'll think of something else." He started the trek home. He didn't feel like swimming, so he walked, slowly and silently. As he approached his small cottage, two fish came flying out. Pisces grinned, then remembered he was upset. He sighed and entered the house. Sue Ellen and Max flew around his head. Max noticed the cape and bit it, encouraging Sue Ellen to do the same. The two fish grabbed the wet cape and flew away. "Hey!" Pisces called. "Stop that!" The fish didn't listen. Max and Sue Ellen flew right into the basement. Pisces might have been angry, but he knew he wasn't allowed in the basement. So he sat by the door, waiting for the fish to be reasonable. After a few hours, Pisces had fallen asleep. The next morning, Pisces woke up and yawned, only to discover two fish staring at him. Pisces yelped, and the fish laughed. They beckoned him to come with them. Pisces opened the door of the basement and walked in. On their work table was the most beautiful cape that Pisces had ever seen. "Wha-" Pisces gasped. "How?" The small cape was embroidered with white stitching to look like stars. Pisces's eyes nearly filled with tears. He didn't have to speak, the fish understood what he felt. Max and Sue Ellen's tails shook in delight, and they went and nuzzled against Pisces's pelt. No matter what happened, they all would stick together, and Apple was never getting this cape.
