Ahhhh I'm so proud of this !! I'm a Sagittarius, so I saw the dta and was like - "Oh. yup yup yup." Anyway, a lil Backstory >:D ---------------------part 1----------------------------- Ari stretched, playing with her collar. Her housefolk were kind to her, as always, smiling and petting her when they walked past. Now, she was outside in the garden, letting all the wonderful scents flood towards her. She watched lazily as mice and other little creatures darted through the grass. She flicked her bushy tail lazily at the sight, looking beyond the blindingly white fence. She squinted, wondering why the moon was so bright. It made the fence disgustingly bright, she thought bitterly. She glanced up again, tilting her head to the side. Why is the moon so big? She wondered, olive eyes sparking with curiosity. She felt eyes on her as her claws scraped the fence, pulling her up. Ari struggled to pull herself up, but she felt determined to climb up. With a yowl of effort, she hurled herself over the fence, landing clumsily on her paws on the other side. "Ugh," Ari muttered. "It would be so much easier if my housefolk had opened the door," She admitted. But she felt strangely excited, fur prickling. She wandered down the sidewalk, street lights not needed to keep the streets bright. The moon was practically the sun at this point. Personally, Ari found Jupiter far more interesting than the moon, or the sun, or any other of the planets. The housefolk kit always read books about planets, and they both shared a special fondness for Jupiter. It just felt . . . right. Ari noticed town-square, the place where her housefolk would take her to the vet sometimes. It had huge buildings, high enough to touch the sky. She'd never been here alone. Her tail whisked determinedly. "What's a little kitty doing out here?" Gray, mangey pelts slid out of the allies, eyes sparking hungrily. Ari's pelt bristled, and she lashed her tail challengingly. "This little 'kitty' is going to find out what's going on," Ari snapped, unsheathing her claws into the ground. "Aw, afraid of a big rock in the sky?" The largest cat laughed, yellow teeth shining in the bright moonlight. Ari scowled. "Is it not concerning that it's getting closer every moment?" Ari challenged. "I have to find out what's wrong, and if you're going to try to stop me, I won't hesitate to tear your pelt off." "Look at this little twerps attitude!" A she-cat leapt to the front, her blue eyes mocking. "Let's give her a little piece of our minds," The siamese she growled, a grin crossing her scarred face. Ari snarled, leaping onto the sneering she-cat with a yowl. The she-cat writhed underneath her, surprise edging her yowl. Ari's face fell low to the she-cat, menace in her voice. "Are you trying to show me how weak you are? Because I can't tell that you're trying to show me a piece of your mind," Ari growled, her claws sinking into the siamese she-cat's shoulders. With a grunt, the large gray tom ripped Ari off the siamese, who was writhing in pain on the concrete. Ari thrashed wildly at the gray tom, anger flaring in her eyes. The gray tom threw her down, slamming his paws down on her stomach. She let out a screech of pain as he pressed harder, and she felt her life ebb away. Darkness consumed her as she felt claws plunge into her stomach. -------------------part 2 --------------- Ari opened her eyes, huffing. Her eyes widened as she realized she was on a large work building. A new cat blinked beside her, eyes warm. "Your back! Hey, I'm Cancer." The tom introduced himself. Ari noticed something off about Cancer; he had a sleek blue pelt, and a very strange tail. Almost like - like a crab tail? This cat also had beautiful grayish horns, adorned with sea stars. "What's wrong with you?" Ari exclaimed, pelt pricking with surprise. Cancer tilted his head, slightly confused, then gave a nod of understanding. "I think you'll want to look at yourself," Cancer nodded towards her. Ari suddenly looked down. She let out a gasp; wings outstretched beside her, and robes with leaves sticking neatly out covered part of her pelt. She hesitantly glanced at her tail, which was now tipped with beautiful light olive green and a golden ring wrapped tightly around. She slowly lifted a paw to her head, feelings long, pointed horns, adorned with another one of those golden bands. "What happened to me?" Ari shrieked. Cancer lifted to his paws. "We need your help, Sagittarius." Cancer murmured. He glanced upwards towards the stars. You could barely see them, because of the moon progressing towards the earth, but a constellation shined bright then all of them all. It looked strange - but things pieced together. Cancer. The name echoed in her head. Sagittarius. Oh! Those names were constellation signs . . . "Why did you call me Sagittarius?" Ari asked carefully, her eyes narrowed. Cancer gave her a slight smile.
Continued)) "You died, Ari," Cancer murmured, whisking his crab-like tail. Ari blinked, remembering the mangy gray tom slamming his paws down on her chest, stopping her breathing, and delivering a killing blow. "So . . why am I alive?" Ari asked. Cancer looked towards the moon, concern fighting its way into his blue gaze. "Your courage and determination showed as you tried to save everything you loved here," Cancer murmured. "You're the sign we've been waiting for. The Sagittarius. We will all assist, but we need your help to save the earth. We need you, Sagittarius." "Who's we?" She whispered. Cancer flicked his tail, and Ari was practically blinded by the stars shining. She looked at all of them as more cats began to appear. "Capricorn," She breathed, watching the she-cat appear with a nod. The blue she-cat was similar to Cancer, with a more fish-like tail and horns curving inwards. More cats appeared, and her mind flashed with recognition. Aquaris, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. Ari's eyes were stretched wide. Cancer smiled. "Let's save the world, shall we, Sagittarius?" Cancer grinned. Ari looked around. "How is everyone going to get there?" Ari murmured. Gemini stepped forward, her glossy yellow pelt shining. She outstretched her wings. "How about a flying lesson?" Gemini's wings expanded as she swooped down and grabbed Leo and Virgo. Ari outstretched her wings imitating Gemini and flapping them. She practically shot into the air, excitement shooting through her. "Come on!" Gemini yowled. "Let's get everyone!" Nodding, Ari linked tails with Gemini and they swooped down together, feeling the others jump and cling onto their pelts as they proceeded towards the moon. "Okay, in three, we throw them," Gemini huffed, flanks heaving with effort. "That'll be easy," Ari huffed, an edge of amusement in her voice. "Cancer's heavy," "HEY!" Cancer yowled, laughing. "Three," Gemini yowled. They neared the moon, both of them exhausted now. Ari refused to let the weakness show, flapping her wings determinedly. "Two," Gemini called, narrowing her pale eyes, struggling to stay aloft. Ari huffed, glancing at her. "One!" They both flung all the other cats into the air, all slamming into the moon. Gemini and Ari followed. "We have to push it away from the earth," Cancer yowled. All cats, floating now, started pushing. Ari huffed, eyes wide as she regained her strength. "Sagittarius, we need you!" Cancer yowled. Ari huffed, turning her weary gaze back. "We know you can do it. We believe in you." Filled with a new strength, Ari flew away. Out in space, she felt her fur begin to frost. She whipped around, slicing through the stars. A Sagittarius never gives up, she thought as she neared. She lowered her head, slamming head first into the moon. With a large crack, the moon slowly started to follow the path they had been trying to push. "You did it!" Cancer cried. "Sagittarius, you did it!" Ari felt pride swamp over her as the rest of them congratulated her. "Thank you," She meowed, her gaze warm. Cancer's gaze fell. "I'm assuming you want to go home," He whimpered. Ari remembered her housefolk, and how they treated her so wonderfully. No, she thought to herself. I'm no longer Ari, I'm Sagittarius. And this is my home now. "I can't leave," She nuzzled Cancer. "Your guys are my home now." Cancer smiled. "I was hoping you'd say that." Sagittarius smiled, turning her gaze to the stars. This is my home now, she thought once more as they dissolved into the stars. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WOOOO THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO WRITE - anyway I fried my brain so much and I'm going to go pass out :> I hope you enjoyed <3
