I was walking with her and my other dog in our forest trails and I was on the brink of having a full on meltdown because it's sad. She was just hobbling along behind me and panting really hard but at the same time just looking happy- she is the sweetest dog ever. She's turning 13 in November. The vet said she wouldn't live to her 12th birthday but here she is. She's suffering from tumors and old age. Her sight and smell are nearly gone. My parents are talking about putting her down, but my mom doesn't really want to. It's hard for all of us because she is a really good dog. She and I grew up together- literally, because I slept in her cage with her and *apparently* ate dog food. When I was 2-4, might I add. So it's hard for me because she's been with me my whole life, but either way it's hard to lose a pet. Okay I'm done now :') Don't take your pet for granted. Spend as much time with them as you can, even if it's as little as a quick hug in the mornings.
