Hello Internet, welcome to GAME THEORY! Today, we are going to expose the dark secret of one of Zelda's darkest games. After today, you will never look at Majora's Mask the same way. That is, if it ever happened. You see, if you look deeper into it, you realize that the truth has been hiding there all along. That is, Majora's Mask is all in your head! It sounds crazy, but this is the same franchise where one game was just a dream. First, we should look at the stages of grief theory. It's pretty popular, so I will be brief. Clock town represents denial, Woodfall is anger, Snowfall is bargaining, Great Bay shows depression, and finally, Ikana represents acceptance. I believe that these representations are not just coincidence. They are part of an internal turmoil Link is going through, due to the loss of his fairy Navi. Need more proof? Who is one of the first people you meet? Tatl, the stand in for Navi. In his grief, Link retreats into himself and created a world in which he still has a fairy. Through the game, Link is processing his grief, leading him on an adventure, freeing other people of their guilt, as he frees himself. And the last image of the game? Him riding away, leaving the world, and his grief behind to start a new life. But hey, that's just a theory, a GAME THEORY! Thanks for reading.
