I honestly didn't believe he would hit number 62 after all MLB pitchers weren't throwing him strikes. They would just walk him. But he did it with one game left in the regular season. Roger Maris Held the HR record for 61 years. Also, Gerrit Cole beat the Yankees Single-Season Strikeout Record In the second inning. He beat Ron Guirdy's record of 248. The only thing he needs to improve on is allowing HR's. He has given up the most HR's in the MLB.
