Tw: death We found a cockatoo in the backyard with its wings out, face down. We wrapped it in a towel and put it in a dark box. It didn't appear to be hurt, apart from the fact it wasn't moving. We called a wildlife centre thingy, and they said it might be in shock from crashing into something but they needed to examine it to be sure. They asked someone to come to pick it up but since it's a volunteer organisation they didn't come straight away. My siblings and I named it Coconut. It started moving more, so we started to think it was getting better, but a little later my mum went to add another towel to make it comfy, and its claws were pulling on the towel it was on, which is a sign of being in pain. It started making hurt-sounding noises while flapping its wings a little. A little bit later it died. Rest in peace Coconut <3
