Venture the vast body of spectral water as you fight back against the ghosts of the sea trying to sink your body down with theirs. (*) Movement At the start of the game, once your character flashes white, you can move. Press the arrow keys to move. You can also press Z to slow down and emit a focused ray of red, transparent light (called a "shot"). (*) Shot Pressing C will make your character emit a wide ray of red, transparent light, while pressing Z will make the ray focused instead. Pressing both Z and C will...make your character emit a wide ray of red, transparent light (wideness is top priority.) The wide shot does less damage than the focused shot. As a general rule of thumb, always have your shot on. I.e. always press C. (*) Enemies Numerous ghosts will appear to shoot projectiles called "bullets" (no, not gun bullets). Your primary job is to avoid these bullets that come in various numbers and speeds. These enemies may be destroyed via your shot (the ray of light) so they can shoot less bullets. Note that enemies do not kill your character upon contact. (*) Bullets Bullets are indicated by a bright red outline. The bullets don't actually kill your character upon contact. Rather, they need to hit the green circle on the center of your character for a hit (kill) to count. Note that the actual hitboxes of the sprites are not the same as their appearance would convey them. (*) Lives You start with 99 lives. Yes, this is a lot, but you should be able to judge how well you are playing regardless. If you get hit by a bullet, you lose a life. Once you lose a life, your character will go back to the starting position. Getting your lives counter down to the negatives will make you lose the game. You can see the amount of lives left on the upper left corner of the screen. (*) Special You can press X to trigger a special. The shot is disabled during this special. However, the special deletes enemy bullets, and also makes you invincible to enemy bullets. You start out with 99 specials. I'm trusting you not to spam this. You can see your remaining specials in the upper right corner of the screen.
We could make our own games this time. Background music is track 2 of the album, "Changeability of Strange Dream".
