POV: 3rd person Scar (and everyone) Scar was the first to react by summoning his weapon from his inventory, a giant wizard’s staff. It was intriguingly made out of carved oak, and a purple crystal floated within the carved design. There were several charms that dangled from the carved area, including mini potion bottles, a cat paw charm, and the iconic “A tree and a cat for everyone” slogan from his mayoral campaign. His eyes narrowed threateningly as he pointed his wizard staff to the big shadowy figure in the doorway. Scar had listened and noted what Stress had said about the cloaked people chasing and attacking his friends. And the results that he had seen with his own eyes. Now that he stood face to ‘face’ with this threat, he wouldn’t let it hurt any of his friends. Tension hung thick in the air, and it was starting to crackle from pent up energy. Scar’s eyes remained focused and dangerously still on the silhouette on his doorstep. Stress shifted ever so slightly, jaw clenched and ice magic ready to defend. Mumbo clung onto her, eyes wide with fear and apprehension. Even Jellie and Grian seemed to quiet down. Then the figure in the doorway moved, and took a step inside of Larry’s shell. In an instant, a pulse of magic shot out of the tip of Scar’s staff; straight out of the crystal, and straight into the figure. The figure let out a yelped grunt as he was thrusted onto the floor from the impact; out of the shell. Scar didn’t hesitate for a moment. He ran out of the shell in pursuit. Wrapped up in thoughts, worries, and tension, he didn’t process the fact that the person he just released his magic into wasn’t wearing a cloak., but instead a familiar dark green full body armour with a face concealing helmet as well. Besides not noticing the armour the intruder was wearing, Scar didn’t realize he had brought his staff above his head and was mid-swing to bashing it down on the man in front of him. But until a hand caught it. It took the wizard a moment to register that his blow didn’t land, and it took him a moment longer to realize who was standing in front of him, holding his staff with a tight grasp. Scar’s eyes widened and he loosened his grip, pulling his weapon out of Iskall's free hand. His Swedish friend had an exhausted and pained look in his eye, as his other was a robotic replacement and had spiderweb cracks through it, and he dropped his unharmed hand once Scar had pulled back. With a tired smile, Iskall greeted the wizard. “Trying to beat up the admin I see, Scar?” “Iskall- no, why..?” Scar mumbled, blinking in confusion before realizing he had been looking at green armour, and looking back down to the admin who was pushing himself up onto his elbows, “Xisumavoid!! Goodness me I’m so sorry!! I- I didn’t realize- I was too caught up- please just-” “It’s nothing to worry about, I know things have been a little… uptight, with the recent events that have been happening..” X reassured as the mayor of Hermitcraft helped their admin up, and led Iskall and him back into Larry’s shell, “That was a nice shot by the way”. “Oh- uhh thank you-” Scar stammered bashfully, ducking his head slightly. Upon entering, the self-conscious wizard announced it was a false alarm and brought his two friends inside. Stress looked up from comforting the trembling Mumbo and saw Iskall and X, and within seconds her face instantly brightened as a smile filled her face. That smile didn’t last long. She noticed the dark purple veins around his shattered robotic eye. It peeked through from under his torn sweater. His wounded arm had been rebandaged nicely, but it was stained as the reopened gash bled through. “Iskall! Oh my goodness!! Are you alright?? What happened-?” Stress asked as she hurriedly stood with the little Mumbo in her arms, and went to check him over. He chuckled, raising his left hand to try and calm her along with all the stream line questions. “X found me. He took care of my injuries the best he could.” “Mhmn. Until the point where he INSISTED to leave and look for ya.” Xisuma chucked, nudging Iskall gently with his elbow. “Well, I was worried,” the swede argued with a grumble, gently running his hand through Mumbo’s hair. Scar walked over to where the group of four had abruptly quieted, continuing the previous conversation. “I mean, you did have a reason to worry, considering-” (Continue to Notes and Credits)
(Continued from Instructions) Their wizard friend hushed as well. Everyone watched in curious, quiet, panic, as some white streaks of hair appeared throughout little Mumby’s head wherever Iskall’s hand had made contact. It had seemingly withered, and dulled out. Iskall took a few steps back, pulling his hand close to his chest. Panic and fear shimmered in his eye, and he seemed to shrink in on himself. “Hey, luv, Iskall-” Stress said, noticing his reaction and reaching her free hand out to comfort him as Mumbo was looking cross eyed towards his hair and playing around with it. “NO. D-don’t-” he barked, voice breaking as he drew back further, “I don’t want to h-hurt anyone else-” He felt a firm hand on his back., and glanced up to see X (assumingly) glance down at him. “What- how? You’re not-? The thing-” “Looks like it’s the sturdy parts of my armour. Otherwise that would have happened to me a while ago-” X commented, though it seemed like he was speaking his thoughts. Before Iskall could comment on the idea, Scar’s panicked voice cut in. “Guys, guys, guys-!!!” Xisuma and Iskall quickly turned to see Scar trying his best to uphold Mumbo and a very pale looking Stress. The admin acted quickly, slowly laying Stress on the floor as Scar took Mumbo, and Grian and Jelly came to investigate the situation. “Her cut, X, check her cut.” Scar ordered, bouncing Mumbo on his hip, who watched with wide eyes and a tight grip around the wizard’s neck. Scar explained to X where to unwrap the bandages as Iskall inched closer to peer over his shoulder. Grian and Jellie creeped up around the wizard’s legs, watching as well. Once the bandages were fully unwrapped and off, Xisuma turned her leg and inhaled sharply. The area where the glass had hit her left a decently sized gash. The more concerning aspect was the fact that there was a vibrant shade of pink. It branched out around the wound in swirls, and seemed to continue to expand. Scar’s gaze darkened with worry. “I should have known-” “S-scar- don’t worry ‘bout it luv, I-I’ll be fine-” Stress breathed, “‘S not your fault ‘M just t-tired from, day’s events-.” “It’s mine. I should have done more. I knew I should have pushed harder.” Everyone in the room, except for Stress, looked at Iskall, who had stayed put where he was. His jaw was locked tight, and his eyes were brewing storms. But under all that, fear and panic filled him. X shook his head. “I think this is a lot more complicated than any of us could have imagined. And I think I need to check a few things.” ========================= Wooo! Another chapter!!!
