I’m going to ask that you DO NOT look at the art until you have finished the story. Also warning there is death and such Esther and her family lived in Salem, a place where people celebrated Halloween to the extreme. Esther had a little sister named Radio, and they were very close. When Radio got in trouble, Esther always took the blame. If you have a sibling or someone you love like this, like you would d(eye) for them, then you understand. It was the halloween of sometime in the 1800s and they dressed up. Radio dressed up as fire, as she always had the craziest ideas. Esther dressed up as a which, and painted ghosts on her fur and put on a witch hat. Esther was a light purple and the black paint faded to a dark purple. It was cold, so Esther put on a scarf. Radio was already orange, so the used orange cloth for “flame”. Esther and Radio set out for trick-or-treating. They went from house to house. “Esther, why don’t we try the Ivy House?” Radio asked. Masking her fear, Esther curled her tail around Radio’s body. “Radio, it’s haunted,” Esther tried, but Radio just licked her chest fur, flattening it and walked up the path to the Ivy house. The Ivy House kidnaps kittens, it t0urtures them, it scares them. They were all rumors, and Radio never bought them. “Radio?” Esther looked up the path. Her sister had disappeared. “RADIO?” Esther yelled. She ran inside the house. “RADIO, WHERE ARE YOU?” Radio fell out of the ceiling laughing. “It’s fine. And there’s nobody here.” Esther sighed. “Then we should go.” Radio sat down and adjusted her costume as Esther started talking. “This place is dangerous and you just FELL OUT OF A CEILING! Very bad, and- RADIO DON’T” Radio started climbing up the stairs. About halfway through, she stopped and looked back at Esther, who was staring back in anxiousness and pain. Radio realized her mistake and sighed, walking down the stairs. Esther didn’t notice, but the paint on her body started to infuse with her. And wings started sprouting on her shoulders. As the sisters walked down the hill. The moon craters that were visible moved, and formed a ghost. Neither of them noticed. The ghosts on Esther reflected her emotions, and they moved around. And moons starting appearing on her body, making light. The two sisters sat on the hill looking at the stars, when Radio looked at the moon, it was looking at her. She gasped and Esther followed her eyes to the sky. Esther stood frozen, the moons on her body pulsing to an invisible beat. A heartbeat. A moment later the red cloth on Radio turned into real flames, and Esther could only sit, paralyzed by the ghosts that she put on her pelt, as she saw her sister burned alive. Invisible claws left slash marks on her body. Soon the ghosts had enough and the fire went out, leaving a body behind. Esther was still being controlled and was forced to pad away from her loved sister’s body. The scarf around Esther turned into a snake and slithered away, towards Radio’s body. Feasting. Esther tried to break free, and after 3 minutes of fighting, the ghosts stepped back, with slightly mad faces. They retreated to her legs and tail. Esther knew that if they climbed to her head, they would control her again. Esther ran up the hill, to find a skeleton and a puddle of blood. Esther cried for hours, and then she had an idea. She grabbed her scarf, which had returned to a scarf form, and put it on. It was a barrier for the ghosts. Then Esther licked the part of the skull where the nose would be. Then one ghost from her paw traveled into the skeleton, animating it. The ghost faded into the body, as a fire engulfed the now-alive skeleton. “E-Esther? I-isssss that-t y-y-you?” The flames morphed into a catlike shape. Esther wanted to hug her sister but she would be burned. Esther could control the ghosts. Hundreds of years later, Esther and Radio still lived in the Ivy House, renamed The Unthinkable Horrors. The sisters lived together, but could never touch. There was always a thick sadness in the air, and sometimes it drowned them. Esther became evil. Capturing and k(ih)lling kits. Radio caused many a forest fire. There family thought they had both died, and blamed the newest residents of the Ivy House for their deaths. They never will know that they are blaming there own children for Esther’s and Radio’s disappearances. Well that got crazy QUICK. But I feel that it was necessary in order to get what I felt across. If I win, I think I will continue this and make it a comic (possibly).
