The Minatrottle (octocereb parvus cursu), is a small 2-3 feet long omnivorous creature that lives in the Cavernous Forests of the Dry Caverns. They lived from the Colonial period until now. They eat dead plants and animals but also eat tentaclouds and coral trees. They travel in herds of up to 50 individuals. To lay eggs they exit the Dry caverns into the oceans and lay their eggs their and then when the young hatch, they go back to the Dry Caverns. They communicate using low frequency sounds.
