Silk Weavers- Spider-like humanoids who can spin silk from their wrists. They usually wear modern clothes. They often have an unusual color for skin, although it's always toned down. They have an extra four spider-like legs attached to their sides, with two on each side. They also have four short fangs, each that can inject a weak poison. All silk types except Earth are genetic, and about 25% of a Fire or Ice Weaver’s children will be another Ice or Fire Weaver if they have a kid with a Silk Weaver, and around 50% if they do it with another element weaver of a different type, each having a 50/50 chance of being either element. 75% will be an Element Weaver of the same element. Being an Earth Weaver is not genetic. Fire Weavers- Similar to Silk Weavers, although they can spin silk that has abnormally high temperatures. They can control how high or low the temperature of the silk is, with a normal range being from 98 F, or 36 C, to about 131 F, or 55 C. Ice Weavers- Similar to Silk Weavers, although they can spin silk that has abnormally low temperatures. They can control how high or low the temperature of the silk is, with a normal range being from 98 F, or 36 C, to about 20 F, or -7 C. Earth Weavers- Similar to Silk Weavers, although they can spin silk that has a very high nutrition amount, causing plant or fungus growth wherever the silk lands. They are the least common type of Silk Weaver, and are born with a mutation that causes more nutrients to be sent to the silk producing organ than needed. This also causes them to need more food then a normal Silk Weaver, so parents usually have a warning before giving birth- the pregnant parent will be much more hungry then if they had a normal baby. Stingers- Similar to Silk Weavers, although rather than silk coming out of their wrists, they have a poisonous liquid known as chlorotide that comes out of a scorpion-like tail that attaches to their tail bone. Because of this and a few other things, their body represents a scorpion more than a spider. The liquid that comes from their tail is poisonous, and they can $tab it into people and animals to poison them. They usually wear modern clothes. They have a brown or reddish tint to their skin most of the time, and they have two pairs of scorpion-like legs, with two on each side of their body. Phosphors- Stingers, although rather than their chlorotide being poisonous, it has a strange glowing property to it. They aren’t at all rare, and some people believe that they may be just as common as a normal Stinger. About half of their offspring will be Phosphors if they have them with a Stinger, and almost all will be Phosphors if with another Phosphor. 75% will be Phosphors if with an All-Curer. All-Curers- Stingers, but their chlorotide is healing rather than d3adly. About 25% of their kids will be All-Curers if the second parent is a Phosphor, Stinger, or Corroder, and 50% if the other parent is another All-Curer. Corroders- Similar to Earth Weavers, although the chemical that makes their chlorotide poisonous reacts with the nutrients differently, and ends up making a corrosive liquid similar to acid. They’re also similar to Earth Weavers in the way that they’re born due to a non-genetic mutation, so their kids will usually be Stingers. Crystalwing- Dragonfly-like humanoids, with usually colorful transparent wings. They usually wear futuristic clothes, so think robotic parts, something like cyberpunk. Their skin and wings can be about any color under the sun, and they have an extra pair of legs coming out of their sides. Midas- A Midas is quite similar to a Crystalwing, but with a few key differences. First, their wings are opaque gold rather then any other color. Two, they have a /much/ higher social status. They are usually at least in a high office position, unless they're to young. All presidents have been Midases. They have one special ability- they can turn some objects into gold. These objects have to be made from something like lead, mercury or platinum, though- things that are already quite similar to gold. They're always abnormally tall, even when compared to Chirpers; and they live for much longer. Chirpers- Cricket-like people, only abilities they have is that they can jump. They usually wear semi-dystopian clothes. They have human arms and a human body, but their legs are the same as cricket legs, and their skin takes a green or brownish hue. They also have antennae attached to the back of their skull. Hybrids are possible in only one way- tests. Your OC would have been captured or born into the captivity of Crystalwings, and would have been tested on for many, many years. This would have been /very/ painful and traumatizing for this character. So don't make them all bubbly or something unless it's in a way where it's like so happy it's scary/sad. Hybrids are also never as powerful as the original species. So, for example, if you had a genetically (cont.)
(continued from above) modified Chirper who had silk creating implants, they wouldn't be able to spin as much silk. And if said silk was from a Fire Weaver, or another Element Weaver, than the silk wouldn't be able to use as much of the ability- so if it were a Fire Weaver, it wouldn't be as hot, and if it were from an Earth Weaver, the plants wouldn't grow as well. NOTE: Hybrids aren't possible with Crystalwings or Midases.
