Hello! My lovely friend @Ahrete posted an art process after I suggested it when they were looking for project ideas! It was very very helpful so I decided to try out the shading technique they used but on an art piece I did! The art featured in this project was drawn by me a couple months ago when I was messing around with some Warrior cat designs! It wasn’t previously shared on scratch so just thought I’d explain what the art was! Anyways, I followed @Ahrete ‘s process then added a few touches like a gradient in the shadow and some overlay lighting! Click to see as I add every new lighting layer! Desc of layers: 1. This is the original artwork! It has a couple layers (Lineart, flat colouring, stripes) but that’s it so it was perfect to try shading on! 2. Added cell shading by following Ahrete’s process and using the multiply setting! I think this turned out pretty good :00 3. Duplicated the art and changed to purple, then set to multiply and blended the edges a bit <3 4. Added a bit of a gradient in the purple to make it look more realistic <33 5. Added overlay lighting highlights in light yellow and blended them out! This is the finished piece! I really really like how it turned out! <333
