However, their enemy pack set a trap for them, intending to capture her and use her as a token to claim land. Instead, her sister and father died attempting to save her, and her mother exiled her in a fit of rage. She joined another pack Riverpack, where she met Ash. Ash had a crush on her, despite her not being interested. Eventually, she was approached by two demons who promised to help her by removing Ash from the picture. She agreed, not knowing she would be exiled once again due to her being possessed by the demons, named Timelapse and Infinity, and killing Ash in cold blood. She was running from her troubles once again when she found her mother. She said that her cruelty had made her pack exile her, and she needed help. In a storm of spite, Emerald refused, leaving, then being approached by the demons again. This time she refused, but the demons possessed her anyways. Any time she attempts to get rid of them, she is possessed and loses all of her progress. She discovered that there was a silver lining. It was her body, xe could control it to an extent. She can condense the demons to become wings of a sort, and a few other benefits.
