Example of fanfiction (do not copy) Evan was in the Aphrodite cabin as he usually was on an early morning. He peeked out of the window and saw his two best friends Hunter and Kayla. His heart ached. He liked Kayla. He did ever since the two of them came to Camp Half Blood together three years ago when they were twelve. Of course, being an Aphrodite kid Evan knew Kayla liked Evan. But he never had the courage to ask her. He didn't want to make things awkward if they ever broke up. Also, on their 2nd year there, he had a crush on another girl named Samantha. Although she had the opposite personality and looks of Kayla, she was still friendly. She had long blonde hair. Despite the fact that she wore the same thing as everyone else, she managed to look good. She was a Dionysus kid. Normally, Evan tried to steer clear of Dionysus kids just in case Mr. D was around, but Samantha was a childhood friend. He couldn't help liking her. Then finally last year when Percy and Annabeth had finished their senior year in high school and left to go to New Rome for college, Hunter came with his twin sister Scarlett and took Kayla's heart. That stealer. Of course, Evan enjoyed Hunter's company because well . . . who wouldn't? He was friendly, amiable, social. He had brown hair and a warm smile. He was sort of like another camper named Peter. Kayla had long, black, wavy hair. She was shy and insecure despite the fact that she was a Hades kid but was fierce when needed to. The most attractive thing of her though, was her eyes. She had icy blue eyes that could be seen for miles in a storm. Evan quickly dressed and ran out of the cabin to meet his friends. He went right in between the two and put his arms around both of them. "Wasup guys?" he smiled casually in between the two of them. Kayla smiled, "We were just talking about the upcoming chariot race. You know, the ones where we pick a partner." Hunter smiled, "Me and Kayla were thinking of being partners." Kayla nodded, "yeah cause I'm bad with this stuff and I don't want to be out," she explained "Well I'm great at offense! I mean, Hunter is good but he's more new and doesn't have as much experience! I can make us win!" Evan said trying to convince her to pick him instead. Kayla nodded, "Okay, I'll think about it. Oh, I forgot! I promised Scarlett I would go jog with her this morning. I'll catch up with you guys later, okay?" . . . Kayla smirked as she walked away from the two. She knew there was rivalry between them. The two boys were best friends so she knew they wouldn't fight. Kayla put her black hair into a ponytail as she met her friend Scarlett at the archery range. Scarlett was Hunter's twin. She had long brown hair that was usually braided and she always carried a bow with her. No matter what. "Hey," Scarlett greeted when she got there. Kayla smiled, "The usual route?" "Of course," she took a sip of water, "okay, meet back here,"she said. She dashed off in front of Kayla. Kayla smiled to herself and started jogging. She liked to jog with her friend because it helped with Scarlett's competitiveness and Kayla could have a break and just think about life, despite her father being the god of the dead. She thought about how Evan always interrupted her and Hunter's conversations. Did Evan finally decide that he liked her? Who knows? Boys are really confusing. As Kayla made her way around the woods she glanced over and saw Evan and Hunter laughing together. They seemed to be imitating Mr. D. Kayla smirked as she jogged pass them, amused that they were so immature. Evan waved out to her, "Hey Kayla! I hope you made your decision!" Hunter nodded, "I know whatever you choose, is the right one," he said to her. Kayla nodded and kept jogging. As she did, she could hear their laughter in the distance. Who to choose? Although this was just choosing a partner for an event, it felt as if she was choosing which one to be with. She hated the feeling that everything was on her. Hunter was. . . friendly. He was interested in Kayla ever since he got to know her and to Kayla, that was flattering. He was cute, or hot. Kayla and Evan had a romantic relationship when they were twelve. But at thirteen Evan had gotten a crush on his childhood best friend Samantha. Of course he started dating her. Kayla was hurt. But when Hunter came Kayla became interested in him. That's when Evan broke up with Samantha. But what was more interesting is that Evan kept butting in Hunter and Kayla's conversations despite the fact that he was busy. Kayla knew that feeling that Evan had. She had it too when Samantha and Evan were dating. Jealousy. Like it? Please put in the comments whether you liked it or not. Tell me if I should do more!
