According to WebMD, "Misophonia is a disorder in which certain sounds trigger emotional or physiological responses that some might perceive as unreasonable given the circumstance. Those who have misophonia might describe it as when a sound “drives you crazy.” Their reactions can range from anger and annoyance to panic and the need to flee. The disorder is sometimes called selective sound sensitivity syndrome.". In simpler terms, misophonia is basically a brain condition that means certain sounds are either infuriating or cause a panicked feeling. It's relatively rare, but for the people who have it, it's AWFUL. Common trigger sounds are chewing, breathing, etc, although it differs based on the person. I personally have it, and I cannot stand chewing, loud breathing or keyboard clicking (that constant clickety-clackety makes me want to throw the computer). Sooo I made this little thingy to vent/raise awareness/have fun?? (I honestly had a good time putting this together) Also, this post is NOT sponsored, but I highly recommend Loop earplugs. They aren't totally effective, but they block out most trigger sounds while allowing you to focus on the important sounds. (Represented by the earplugs in the animation)
The song is "Hot Milk". Animation and such by me! I know it isn't perfect, but I enjoyed making it and I'm really proud of how it turned out. #misophonia #music #animations
