I'm (mostly) leaving. Lately, almost all my sharing activity on Scratch has been making sprites for other Scratchers' Mega Man fangames or random requests. While I can't say I didn't enjoy making those sprites, it's becoming more of a checklist chore than a real passion of mine. I still enjoy making sprites, but my efforts feel somewhat wasted on fangames that go strong and look really well-built for about a month and then fizzle out when no one contributes. The last project I shared was a boss AI for @Lemmy_15's contest. It was an epic fight against Nightmare X, a fanmade equivalent to Nightmare Zero from MMX6. You can look at it here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/727613428/ This project was meant to be my final shared project, and as a result, I made sure to pour my heart and soul into it to make it a really fun and engaging boss. I hope everyone who has played it enjoys it. I'm not going to completely leave Scratch. I'm still going to look at projects others have shared, and I'll respond to some of my comments. However, I'm not taking sprite requests anymore, and I'm probably not going to share any projects. When I was younger and I first got into Scratch, I wondered why people left so often. After all, you could make so many wonderful things, and there was a whole community full of awesome people like you, the person reading this. Now that I'm older, I understand what it's like to move on from an obsession. I must admit that I feel a little sad while I'm writing this, but I think it's for the best that I move on to other things. I really appreciate all the support and applause you guys have given me for my projects, especially my sprites. When I look back at my older projects (some of which are rotting in my Trash folder for eternity), I can see a clear growth of my spriting capability. Scratch made me a spriter. It brought me up in pixel art alongside other great artists. I never would have become so adept at making sprites if I had't messed around with the Bitmap editor for so many years. Who knows? Maybe I'll share another project some lucky day. Thank you for sticking with me. - @UnderKoopa757
