FAQ below. Scroll down before asking annoying questions because they are annoying, thanks alot* :) Hey everyone, I've been working on creating a really cool trail for Sonic for my game, and it's going really well. Honestly, it still needs work, but come on, I mean, It's pretty cool. You can use it with credit to @Enigmatic22 100% by me, my math and I- the Sprite is from Sonic Advance tho, so credits to Sega ig, and the Scratch Wiki for some script help with math stuffs. Space / Tap to move Sonic. T+L keys to open settings, stop the project to reset settings. I hope you figure them out. After changing them you have to click the green flag for them to set. Please help make this trail look better if you think it isn't perfect. FAQ: Random Scratcher (possibly new, possibly not) : Umm, ok, So Enigmatic, why are you making a whole trail project with over 260 blocks and multiple scripts that are hard to understand with a lot of math and stuff, especially when @griffpatch already made a tutorial? Me: If you've ever made a trail for a sprite that is moving VERY fast (e.g Sonic) the trail gets disconnected as the clones get further away from each other with the distance covered between frames by the sprite the are trailing. Random Scratcher: But wut about pen? It doesnt get disconnected if you use it right, and you used clones. Pen also looks better! Me: Pen automatically goes to the back layer, meaning if something is a layer behind Sonic, the trail will appear disconnected from Sonic, and in a scrolling platformer with a scrolling parallaxing background, First of all @griffpatch's tricks don't work, second, you have to erase all and repaint the pen every frame, clones are a lot easier. *alot is not a word btw Random Scratcher: Why use a trail at all? Me: It looks cool. Random Scratcher: Can I use your trail? Me: Yes, with credit. Random Scratcher: Can I change your trail? Me: Yes.
